    Nope. 1st class yes. Private no. Not if they wanna stay wealthy. Private charter flights are only common for the uber rich. Regular rich people typically only fly private when someone else is paying for it. 
    i was on the same Hawaiian airlines flight back to Seattle with Stone the day after the U2/PJ show in Honolulu in 06.  Yes, he was in first class.
    But he was at the same luggage drop at midnight waiting for his suitcase with the rest of us common folk. fun memory! (no i did not bother him)

    Well we can disagree here.  All good. 

    No, he's right. I have a really rich brother-in-law and sister, so peripherally know a bunch of really rich people. On special occasions, for emergencies, and maybe for group trips or something they might charter a plane or a helicopter, but generally, they just fly first class for their travel needs. Rich people tend to travel a LOT, so flying private for all of that would cost an absolute fortune, and rich people don't want all their money to disappear that easily.
