I've been listening to Lost Dogs most of the day today, and looking up lyrics and such when I had a break.
Anyway what does this song mean, please give your interpretations of this song. I have an idea, but I want someone to make it clear-er.

    I'm pretty sure it's about Dennis Rodman. The title is particularly about his eyes if I remember correctly. At least I thought that's what was written in the notes for the song.

    i wish i could help you, but this was one of the pearl jam songs where i was pretty much making up my own lyrics cause i couldn't understand eddie. haha.

    for instances, the chorus goes:
    "Hormones firing like a fifty foot Roman, yeah..."

    and what i heard was:
    "I'm all filed, like a fifty foot rubber neck..."

    pretty bad, i know haha. i do enjoy the song though and i tried to learn the right words but i still sing it my way.

    rofl, I think it's "fifty foot woman" in reference to 1958 attack of the 50 foot woman..but i could be wrong.

    in Missoula 05' Tester Benefit, Ed said it was about some mt. climbers that were in the crowd. great show, check it out.

    nah I think officially it's "roman" but who the hell knows, Ed mumbles most of that song anyway :p

    It's definetly about Rodman. That's him on the answering machine recording in the middle of the song.

    Remember he used to show up at random and hang out on stage for no reason? :rolleyes:

    The person Ed was talking about in Missoula was Phil Jackson(he has a house in Flathead Lake, MT area. He was also at the show) and how the players(Jordan,Pippen,Rodman, Kerr,ect...) worked together to get to the top of the mountain(NBA Championship)
    In the song were Ed say "Freud walking the sideline, clipboard; Scoring the brain". I think he is talking about Phil coacking Jordan

    Definately about The Worm, but I always thought it was about his hair. The note do say his eye, but his hair was all those colors at one time back then.

    My guess that Black Red and Yellow was actually about the Chicago Bulls' team colors (Black and Red) and Rodman's yellow hair, which he had during most of his time in Chicago.
