insane….HR on the first pitch; one additional HIT on the next 149 pitches..

    baseball.

edit: I got this wrong…it was the jays pitchers who had to throw 150 pitches; mariners only needed 99 more after the springer HR. Still….

I despise blake snell but ONLY because he’s a fucking dodger.

what I really hate (for my team) are opt out contracts. the giants look like chumps every time they sign someone to one. luckily, POBO buster posey has said he won’t be giving out any more. with the opt out, the player either sucks in year one and takes your money for another year or shines and leaves town for even more money. snell, rodon, manaea all bolted after one (good) year.

the only way a team can even kind of win is for a guy to be great in year one and lead your team to a championship. then if he leaves, oh well. I guess another win would be for them to suck in year one, opt in and lead your team to a championship in year two. has either ever happened? giving a guy an opt out clause has about 5% upside for the team and 95% for the player.

fuck the opt out; fuck the dodgers.

    P.S. wake up, blue jays.
