    Sleight of Hand is a captivating song. It's one of those that gets lost in the rest of the CD but if you look hard enough you'll find it and realize how great it is.

    It's interesting how Pearl Jam finds ways to hide great songs on records. Like Red Mosquito too.

    didnt like this song when it first came out, but boy after listening to it a number of times a couple of months ago i love it. Mccready puts down some nice guitar playing.

    Hmm, i don't dislike this song, but it doesn't mean much to me. Maybe because i really don't understand it :)

    But the version that is on Benaroya Hall seems strange to me?

    I agree with you. I see it as the man who plays by the rules. Goes to his job, comes home; suffering day to day. Realizes toward the end of his life that although he's done his duty, he's got nothing; he is nothing.

    I LOVE Benaroya, but was not a fan of this song on it. I think the studio version on Binaural is a rare case where the recording is better than the live version. I thought the emotion came through much better with the backup instruments.

    Definately hard to beat the atmosphere of the studio version. Lately its become my favorite pearl jam song.
