Barking Dog brings together longtime collaborators Jack Irons of Pearl Jam and Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anthony LoGerfo of Neil Young and Promise of the Real, and Micah Nelson of Particle Kid. Bonded by rhythm, friendship, Neil Young, and a shared love of dogs, the project began at Ohana Festival in 2016 and evolved over years of collaboration.
Recorded at Jack’s home studio after reconnecting in 2023, the EP features Anthony’s meditative grooves, Jack’s experimental percussion including steel drum, and Micah’s signature sonic layers. Mixed by Adam Hawkins, Elements explores natural themes through immersive, rhythmic soundscapes.
Named after the band’s dogs Charms, Plato, and Tsuki, Elements is a celebration of friendship, exploration, and connection.
