    OK folks, look, I don't know what the truth in all this Pope business is.  It's too easy to be fooled by almost any source of information these days.  If Pope Leo is innocent in regards to the sexual allegations, great, because otherwise, he seems like he could be a good Pope.  If he is guilty, fuck him. 
    But I'm no judge and besides, other than my wife and my cat, I don't have a lot of friends any more.  They're dropping like flies.  I've got yet another one getting ready to move on for sure, and another that may not be around much longer. 
    So I don't want to say things here that will cost me more friendships in other ways besides people dying, so I'm going to keep my damn mouth shut and, as much as possible, stay the hell away from AMT.  And yeah, sure, you can remind me of that or even give me shit about how I've said this before.  In fact, please do remind me, and please do give me shit.  That way, I'll stick to AET and Other Music where people there generally amiable and are cool with my old ass still being around this place.

    This is HUGE. New Pope Leo XIV openly calls out Russia as the aggressor in Ukraine. No bullshit neutrality like Pope Francis.
    He basically straight up says it, Russia invaded, Russia is guilty, and the world must stop pretending otherwise.

    He even shades certain politicians (likely Trump, Orban, and the rest of the pro-Russia clowns) who stay silent or defend Putin’s war crimes.
    This is the first Pope in a long time with a spine. A real moral stance. No “both sides” bullshit

    Now nothing. What the Pope says has no effect on anything, lol. The most useful things the Pope could do is change the rules in the Catholic Church than prevent women from being leaders within the organization, that prevent gays from getting married, that prevent women from getting abortions, that prevent Catholics from using birth control, and that force priests to be celibate, therefore attracting a large number of sexual deviants trying to use their vows to fix their deviancy. The Pope could do all these things that would actually change things for the better for a lot of people, but obviously he won't. He is, therefore, useless as far as I'm concerned.
