Sky Blue variant sold out in a jiffy. But the Clear vinyl is super cool too. And how about that inner gatefold photo by the great Lance Mercer!
It’s Bandcamp Friday. Until midnight Pacific, they waive their fees, and 100% goes to the artist. So it’s a great time to show your love to the musicians you dig.
To those of you who have already scooped up copies, I thank you.
To those of you who lean into the ‘Additional Fan Contribution’ feature…YOU ARE FABULOUS!
I can’t wait for you all to hear how delicious this record sounds on vinyl. And I’m excited to share the bonus tracks: two studio outtakes from the original sessions and five newly recorded acoustic versions. (Coming soon to Substack for those of you who are not into the whole vinyl thing.)
This record was a team effort.
Thanks to Elaine Summers, Robert Cooper, Gregg Williams, Brendan O’Brien, Russ Fowler, Martin Feveyear, Peter Stroud, Karl Heilbron, Caram Costanza, Grant Prettyman, Lance Mercer, Karen Moskowitz, David E. Perry, Jim Anderson, Gene Zacharewicz, Erik Freeman, Jason Hughes, Dino Peredes, Chris Bellman, Jack Doutt, Citizen Vinyl, Mastercraft Plating, Stoughton Printing and Mike Clark (RIP) and Terry McMillen (RIP). I hope I’m not leaving anyone out.

Pete Droge ..
I wanted to be sure you knew about my recent interview on The Friday Night Rock & Roll Affair with legendary music journalist David Fricke on SiriusXM’s Tom Petty Radio.
We covered a lot of ground. In a segment that ran an hour plus, we discussed my time gigging with Tom and the Heartbreakers, what I learned recording with famed producer Brendan O’Brien, how blowing an audition ultimately led to my cameo in Cameron Crowe’s Almost Famous, how Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard tried to help me land a record deal during the Mother Love Bone days, and how his PJ bandmate Mike McCready wound up giving me my break in show business a couple of years later.
On top of all that, we went deep into my new album, Fade Away Blue. The wide-ranging interview was capped off by a live rendition of “You Called Me Kid.”
For the next week or so, you can tune into the interview on demand on the SiriusXM app. (A subscription is required, but they do offer a free three-month trial.)
