2 of the best I’ve had in some time, Sicilian super think n airy… pep thin n crispy, perfect contrast

I was just listening to an ESPN rant about Long Island Pizza.  The radio personality Carlton was told to go visit some places and try the slices.  Most of the places mentioned he said were not that great.  I would tend to agree with him.  Most Long Islanders don't know any better, it's all they know.

When you have a truly delicious slice you know.

I did Sorrentos again on Thursday last week and just amazed at how much better it is than anything else around the area.

Oceanside used to have good pizza places but they fell off over the year.  Lias you can still get a great Granma though.

EDIT: I forgot to ask where this was?  An "airy" Sicilian slice is unheard of!  Where was this?

I got to try some out your way. Suffolk isn't known for being a pizza mecca.

If you come to LB I'll treat you to some Sorrentos.

I use to be in Long Beach all summer in my mid 20s…. Still make it out a few times a year…I’m North Shore snob now 😝

Portofino is excellent… real restaurant , Vincent’s down the street more for the bar crowd

I guess I'm in the minority. Looks like an average pie to me at best.

    I could definitely see that.
But the taste was anything but average. Nice crisp on the bottom. Really good.
