TY!  Haven't hit a limited release since they stopped their website
  • Saw them last night.  On fire as usual.  Dwyer stage dove.  Haven't seen THAT in a while.  Met a Pulitzer prize winning author in a Colson Whitehead whom i recognized from a 60 minutes interview and remembering that he had an Osees song on in the background.  So I introduced myself.  Super cool random experience.

    Pics to follow.

They did a colab w the song C into another then back to C.  That was cool.  Played the Dream.  Nice to hear that one and Warm Slime.

That 2011 show where I met them was so damn good. Really small dive bar.

Im confused w the Bandcamp buying.  You pay an additional price they add on to it?  How the fuck do I avoid that crap? I scored the green /1000.  I looked on that site and there are a few releases that I had never heard of.  I'm missing these all the time.. Would have missed this if you hadn't posted.

Where are you getting news from? I follow on IG but I see nadda.

That is so cool.  I didn't get to see them until the new lineup 2 years later I guess?  I missed their shows traveling for work. So 2013 I came back to NY and started seeing them regularly.

I follow their subreddit and them on bandcamp who sends any notification if there is a change to their page.

But @osees_merch on IG had it up the other day. Castleface is no more and the new label is called Deathgod Records. they have an IG too. Pretty sure theres a mailing list too. At least subscribe to their bandcamp ml. thats the thing the usually goes out first.

you don't need to pay more from BC. Just fill out what they suggest and all you'll pay extra for is taxes and shipping.

I saw Ty Segall the year before that at an even smaller place. Maybe around 100 people. Wish I would’ve talked to him but didn’t wanna bother him at the time. Could’ve literally helped him load his gear in through the front door that night.

OK so Castleface is caputz.  There is DeathGod now being run by Dwyer and reprinting their back catalogs.

New album took a few listens.  It's not the same as the other previous albums but more like the last album.  More hardcore singing than his falsetto he would do.

Do I like it?  Hell yeah.  The music has some awesome moments in it.

If you were a fan of Floating Coffin you might not get this at first.  Give it a few spins and then it creeps in and you get it.

Yeah, the band has clearly shifted away from their garage sound. Even their prog sound too.

    New album is good.

I guess next years album is already recorded too.

Me either, I just like them both. Don't think it's a challenging listen for those who liked their garage rock sound.

Saw them both nights this weekend at their usual haunt Warsaw.

So i'm looking at upcoming shows there and I see Sam Smith for like 40 days in a row.  WTF does Sam Smith have a 40 day residency here?

Well Dwyer mentions this too and apparently Sam Smiths crew tried to have the Oh Sees dates moved so he could have this consecutive block but since they are a regular band there and have been sold out for quite some time now they kept their dates.

They made a shirt w goofy on the front to commemorate the occasion.  I didn't buy it, now I regret it.

Anywho, first night killed. Second night crowd was full of idiots.  Still a killer show though.  We were shocked at the amount of people that were belligerent by 9 pm...

They changed the setlist up the two nights which was great.  More diversity this time around.  I did get Chem Farmer both nights.  God I love that song.  Got The Dream both nights too.

Still the best live show to me hands down out there.
