My order from this sale arrived yesterday.  Unfortunately the tube was crushed and the poster was damaged.  I've reached out to Ames Bros., but not expecting any resolution on it

Damn! Hope they have an extra from the archives for you.

Remember that year, or 2, Ames Bros shipped out prints in PVC tubes? They should totally bring that back.
I still have the tubes the 98's came in. At least one of them.

    Nope, just USA & Canada.

    FAQs

    Are these reprints?
No. We have carefully maintained a stored archive of each and every poster we've ever created.

Are you offering all of the posters in your archive?
No. Only posters from shows that occurred this month will be for sale. And not every poster we’ve ever designed will be available.

How many are available of each poster for sale?
    At least one.

Will they be at original pricing?
No. Pricing will be at or near market value.

Should I get in touch to complain or haggle on the price?
No. Go outside and enjoy your day. So will we.

    Are these legit?
Heck yes! The posters are all from the original run/edition. After looking around at what's available in the market, we see a lot of fake signatures. This is a chance to buy directly from the actual artists and guarantee authenticity.

What kind of condition are the posters in?
Everything available is in mint or near mint condition (unless otherwise noted). Keep in mind that even though the posters have been carefully stored away and treated with the utmost care, they are all hand crafted items. Because of this, they are often a little bit unique in and of themselves and a little different from each other. We find that to be a beautiful thing. We've worked with dozens of different printers over the years, and each has their own style, ink and paper stock. That said, we won't put anything up for sale with dog-ears, creases, marks etc... and if we do, we will make a note of it. Otherwise assume it's in M/NM condition.

How long will the sale last?
The sale will last for 2 days or until the posters are all sold out. All of the posters will be made available on the 1st day of the sale around 10am.

Will all the posters be put up for sale at the same time?
    Yes.

Does this archive sale include t-shirts?
No. Right now this is poster specific, but we will be releasing more older tee designs over the next few months.

    How will the posters ship?
All will ship fully insured in a sturdy tube via whatever premium shipping service you chose.

How long until my poster ships?
Please allow 2-3 weeks before orders are processed and begin to ship. You will receive a shipping notice when your poster is packaged and ready to ship.

    Will you offer returns?
No, we will not. All sales are final. All shipments will be fully insured against any damage that could occur during shipping,

Can I cancel an order I placed by accident or that I changed my mind on?
No. Because this is a short sales window of 2 days, if you buy it, it's yours. To ask us to cancel after isn't fair to us or other people who are interested in the poster. Please make up your mind before you buy.

Will you ship outside of the US and Canada?
No, we will only be shipping archive prints to the US and Canada at this time.

    Can I combine multiple orders?
No. In an effort to expedite orders and stay organized, individual orders will be shipped as such.

    See ya Tuesday!

Yes especially since my order from the last sale arrived damaged in the good old U S of A.  To be fair they did just ship out a replacement so crossing my fingers it makes it in good shape this time.  They packed it extra secure I guess.

It is a shame, especially when the posters they are offering are for shows outside of north America that people who attended want to own.  And they can be damaged regardless of where they are being delivered to

Thanks!  I would have been tempted at that price. I have the regular edition but have been looking to upgrade to s/n.
  • Not PJ but that Devo poster is funny and only 50 bucks

I was really hoping they'd have the Indy 98 poster, since it was my first PJ show, but I just can't bring myself to spend 3 grand on it. Maybe they'll have some unsigned copies in August 2026

I'm pretty sure that their "regular edition" means S/N artist edition.  I have checked a ton of posters during their sales and all are signed by the artist.  Every one that I have bought has been signed and numbered.  They are saying regular edition as opposed to variant or foil.  The Ten Club received any extra show edition posters that might have been left over.  Their old newsletters had posters for sale as well as other merch.  The prices were SUPER low.....

Did anyone see what the East Lansing poster sold for? I have one just curious what Ames thinks the value is now....
"Populated with every reject and cutthroat from Bombay to Calcutta. It's worse than Detroit."

I have bought posters from them for years and you are right. unless the description says it is a show edition and not signed . And yes I bought a couple of those Chicago posters from them not too long ago for 100 dollars that were listed today for 225 and up.
