either way, lerx, you are clinging to the old head democratic party leadership. the james carville and now bill maher school of thought. the majority of the young people and the majority of the party have left pelosi and schumer and jeffries, and carville behind. the dems need to change leadership or get dusted again by maga.
what the hell good is leadership if it is out of step with the majority of the people in the party?
the people wanted bernie in 2016, and the party heads gave them hillary. they should have taken the hint 9 years ago.
i still say that all of dem leadership needs to be replaced with people more in tune with the average democrat."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

i still say that all of dem leadership needs to be replaced with people more in tune with the average democrat. The dem party will get annihilated with logic like that. You voting for mamdani? Your NY taxes are not high enough? That’s what the young Dems want. Sounds good, until you examine.
IIRC you are eventually leaving NY due to high taxes and COL?
today’s dem party is looking to raise your taxes to provide free programs without any requirements like work. They want to punish wealth. I may even support some of that, but it will never sell in this country. And gimme lives in a red state and lives closely with those people. He should know better, yet types that nonsense with no evidence to support any of it.

Reminds me of my blue collar sister in law that thinks raising taxes on millionaires is theft. Our system only survives by redistributing wealth via our tax system.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Great idea, first step is win the senate. First step in that, replace the three red state senate seats just lost and then hold the four swing seats next year with three retirements.Great ideas are great. Needs to be realistic on a senate and electoral map. Not much can be done with the House alone.0

I agreed with the sentiment behind what was posted. There’s no way I’ll be voting for Mamdani. I disagree with most of his stances, but they don’t scare me because I feel most of what he says won’t happen. Just more empty promises to a certain type of voter.Lerxst1992 said:nicknyr15 said:

Well…based on the cost of living, not a politician necessarily. The sentiment sounds great, but we see what wins politically in the country. It’s not what Mr Mamdani is selling.nicknyr15 said:

punishing wealth is a gop argument that usually resonates with voters, unlike socialist candidates outside of deep blue enclaves.0 -

Im leaving NY Long Island because it’s full of Republicans MAGA cultist and it’s way to crowded! I’m headed north actually I’m headed to Massachusetts this weekend to look at houses I’m interested in buying, I don’t mind the snow & cold snowblower and wood burning stoves are my salvation.nicknyr15 said:
I agreed with the sentiment behind what was posted. There’s no way I’ll be voting for Mamdani. I disagree with most of his stances, but they don’t scare me because I feel most of what he says won’t happen. Just more empty promises to a certain type of voter.Lerxst1992 said:nicknyr15 said:
Great postgimmesometruth27 said:either way, lerx, you are clinging to the old head democratic party leadership. the james carville and now bill maher school of thought. the majority of the young people and the majority of the party have left pelosi and schumer and jeffries, and carville behind. the dems need to change leadership or get dusted again by maga.
what the hell good is leadership if it is out of step with the majority of the people in the party?
the people wanted bernie in 2016, and the party heads gave them hillary. they should have taken the hint 9 years ago.
i still say that all of dem leadership needs to be replaced with people more in tune with the average democrat.
I’m leaving NY because I hate the cold and I’m just sick of living here. It doesn’t align with my lifestyle anymore. I’m ready to slow down and live on the beach the rest of my life. I would never move or do anything based on any politician. That shit will never dictate anything I do in life.
I lived in both and though I do prefer Long Island I'd rather be in the hills of PA on 2 acres.0 -
the hills of pa are pretty awesome.tempo_n_groove said:

I don’t know, have you ever seen those bird killing wind mill machines that drive the whales crazy spread out across the hill tops for miles? That whir, whir, whir sound will drive you nuts.gimmesometruth27 said:
