Big uprorar about the Miz going to the AS game.  Quite a few people get a snub.  Not sure why they choose him? Was it to create buzz?

MLB must be trying the wild idea of promoting their young stars.   Skenes got in last year the same way.  Seems to be working out for him.

Yup. The ASG is fucked up.

HRD also sucks and every year I swear I won’t watch….but end up watching and swear I won’t watch next year….but do.

Nothing against him but no way should he be an All Star because he's been in the Majors for about 5 minutes. ( 5 starts?)

a fond memory was d*dger yasiel puig hitting ZERO.

as this thing (predictably) goes way past its allotted 2 hours, we can at least be grateful for no chris berman.

So Chisholm only hit 3 more HRS. than me.

Reminds me of the Super Bowl in 85.
At halftime I had more rushing yards than the Patriots. Obviously I had a good 1st half.

    Big Dumper won it!

If you haven't been paying attention to Cal Raleigh, He has been really good the last 3 years.  He's on fire this year though.

skubal gives up three straight hits and he’s got joe davis trying to make conversation with him. Pretty sure bob gibson would have said “fuck that.”

The Miz was sending 102 mph ... *checks Bruce's notes" ... speed balls with ease.  The first batter about put one out of the park that probably left a stain in his shorts.

ESPN was doing that crap with Bryce Harper and after a couple minutes he goes "I can't hear you". Or translated: Fuck Off. What nonsense.

I found the game pretty entertaining and better than most I can remember from the past 20 years. The AL finally came to life and that was a great 9th inning on defense and at bat. Interesting to see the HR derby to decide the winner. Too bad the AL couldn't actually use any of their HR hitters. When it comes down to Arozarena and Aranda, you're cooked. The NL putting Schwarber and Alonso out there guaranteed victory. Too bad all the stars had to leave before the game was over. Having Judge and Raleigh could have actually made it interesting.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Here's my comment on The Athletic:

The Fox presentation was horrible. The constant interviews with players playing in the game is an abject disgrace and adds literally nothing to the entertainment value. Something is going to go seriously wrong with this nonsense. The two OF's almost ran into each other while the stupid announcers are talking in their ears. The inning when they talked to the managers was the most boring thing I've ever seen, and I've watched plenty of soccer games people! The pregame stuff was inane and endless. Those hype guys (the wrestler kicker guy and someone else) were pathetic. And the commercials - I felt like I had no business watching this game without Type 2 Diabetes.

But that opera singer did a hell of a God Bless America - that was good!

    Go Schwarbs and Go Phils!

    I tapped out immediately

I was out for some of the night and only watched a few innings as well. (like the 4th and 5th). Had to get up at like 4 today for work so I went to bed early. When i woke up the next morning I checked the score and assumed it ended in a tie. Then I saw Schwarbs won MVP. So i checked the box score and saw that he went 0-2.  I was like how the hell did he win MVP?? I wasn't even aware there was a home-run swing off to see who won the game.

I recorded it and watched this morning. I knew what happened because I was following the last few innings on the way home. I liked seeing the comeback in the ninth and actually forgot this was going to be decided by a home run contest. I didn't hate it for this kind of event but certainly would never want to see it in a game that counts.

So the talking thing.  I think it could be cool and interesting but this was executed poorly.  Literally hes throwing a pitch and they are in his ear.  Didn't Skubal say"man this is weird"?  Like shut up while im in motion. Joe Davis I am not a fan...

I did like Kershaw asking what pitch he should throw from Smoltz.
