I can only speak for “my” team, but you can stick a fork in the Giants.

maybe they can re-trade Devers at the deadline.

He's getting paid by the Mets until 2035. It wasn't a standard contract though. It was a deal to be bought out of his contract. Mets wanted to release him, but still owed him $5.9M. So, naturally, they agreed to pay him nearly $30M from 2011-2035.

He's also getting paid $500K by the Orioles until 2028. Not bad for a dude who hasn't suited up in over 20 years.

I just now learned the Mets thought they’d be ahead because they invested the $5.9M.

who’d they invest with? wait for it…..

Does that make CB Bucknor the worst umpire in MLB now?

I'll nominate Phil Cuzzi (this was from last nights Phills/Giantas game)

the players are apparently against doing their own challenges because, even though some umps are terrible, the challenge thing in spring training showed the umps were more right than the players.

whatever. I think bad umps can create lasting memories. remember when livan hernandez struck out 15 braves in the NLCS?

believe it or not, more umpires are accurate than not, you just don't hear about those. it's like offensive linemen, you never hear about them unless something goes wrong.

Personally my favorite called third motion is John Tumpane, who inherited the title from Tom Hailon

This was false.  Someone did his HRs and all 36 would be HR's in Yankee Stadium and another 4 that ere pop outs would have left the right field short porch in Yankee Stadium so Dumper would have 40.

Leave it to a NYer to start something ridiculous as this...

Someone did.  If I can find the link I'll post the debunking. He deserves the credit anyways.

Big uprorar about the Miz going to the AS game.  Quite a few people get a snub.  Not sure why they choose him? Was it to create buzz?
