Heading to Yankee stadium for Sunday s game.   Planning on taking the train from Secaucus.  Then what, the D train?
I just can’t stand driving in.

is there a ferry from nj that brings you to Yankee stadium?
    D or 4 train
    Right from oenn?  Thank you!!!
You mean Penn Station? No. You take the 1 to 59th st and transfer to the D. Or you can take the 2 to 149th st Grand Concourse and transfer to the 4.

I like funky stats. Even about the Phillies, a not nearly as successful but very historic franchise.
so I do, I'm constantly looking up leaderboards or stuff on baseball reference. Yankees-Phillies in two weeks.
Hope that goes better than last year.
Last year was a blast, and extremely f’ing hot. Going to yanks Phils. Bringing the daughter to New York in the summer for the first time for a couple days. Pumped.

Well you can take the D train on 34th st but on 6th ave/Avenue of the Americas. Penn Station is 7th and 8th Ave. The 1 and 2 trains are a little closer.

    That was something
First win for the Yankees when trailing by at least five runs in the eighth or later since beating Texas on June 29, 2016 on a Didi Gregorius homer

Yankees were the second team since 1961 and the first since the Pirates beat the Expos on June 24, 1977 to win a game where they were being no-hit through seven and trailing by at least five runs
Jesus fucking Christ you guys need a life or take your stats to game king. How old are you now that you brag about AI stats? Fuck man, give it a rest. Holy shit the apocalypse is here.
There's all sorts of good ones tonight after Cody Bellinger homered three times against Speedy McCready's Cubs.

If you right after the last pitch it is massively mobbed but they run a lot of trains immediately after. It gets less crowded if you wait it out about 20 minutes and so on.

you son is right, especially since two days ago they were no-hit into the eighth, trailed by five and wound up winning.

yep, there are a number of benches right outside the stadium and some eateries that aren't bars by the stadium.

My dad was a "beat the traffic guy" back in the day. This was in the mid to late 70s, at Wrigley, when there was only 5000 people in the park. We were literally only a 20 minute drive from home. Yet dear old dad had to leave in the 7th, to beat traffic.

I hate the Yankees. But being in that stadium, yes the new one, is still a great way to spend time. Watching baseball (add James Earl Jones voice). It takes the whole day to go to a game. Do you have something better to do? I go once or twice a year. Get out of the house and see a game. Wherever.

As a young man, a Cubs fan, I decided I needed another team to cheer for. It was a no brainer. I decided to be a Yankees fan.
Why not be a fan of the greatest franchise in professional sports?

Unless your from Boston, I see no reason to hate the Yankees. Haha

I grew up just north of the line in CT that got Yankees games. We got Bruins, Celtics and the Sox. TV 38 for you Massholes. I guess there is a gray area in CT that could go Yankees or Sox. Like I said, it is still a great day at the ballpark. But its not Fenway. Not even close.

    Hating the Yankees?

Its  kinda, and I said KINDA, like hating Tom Brady. Yes I know, one is a team, one is a quarterback.

But why hate Brady? All the guy ever did was be the greatest fucking player in NFL history(my opinion). Why not jump on the bandwagon all those years, and cheer the fucking guy on?

Brady winning Super Bowls and The Yankees winning World Series? Its all good as far as I am concerned.

If you have any true appreciation for sports, you cannot hate Brady. Only Montana is in that conversation. I am a New Yorker at heart and I like to see all the teams win. But I wear my bosox cap to the stadium. I guess it it similar to being a Cubs fan. Great old fashioned ballparks and probably the best two places in America to drink beer. I think the Orioles get an honorable mention.

Cubs-Yankees World Series would be super interesting. Plus the Cubs are due to win a few games in that after 1932 and 1938.
