    I left as I walked out after voting for Kamala.  It's the direction of the party.  I'm done with identity politics, and spending tax dollars on illegals when so many US citizens and veterans are homeless and don't have health care.  I think that is reasonable. Beds for mental health and detox will continue to be reduced. Veterans’ healthcare appointments will keep getting cancelled. Wait times, which have already risen, will continue to rise. All while clinics are operating with a fraction of the staff they need.

    I’ve been watching the VA since I was aware at family conversations at the dinner table growing up in an Air Force fighter pilot’s house. As did my career Marine’s daughter wife. This is the most anti-Veteran, anti-military administration in history - certainly my 75 year history. Losing 30,000 dedicated, talented VA professionals will only harm Veterans — and this is just the beginning.

    It's harming Veteran small business owners, taking away services like food assistance and Medicaid, and Veterans across the country can't get the treatment they need.

    But what I’ve also seen is that the American people are ready to push back against the Project 2025 goal to demonize, downsize, and privatize Veterans care. That’s where VoteVets comes in.

    Besides their outright attack on environment, wilderness, and public lands, the two things I find most disgusting, mendacious, and disingenuous about many of the right-wing extremest are their attacks on veterans and their false claims of being so-called Christian people.  There are deceivers among us who are unpatriotic to the extreme, and who are lacking in grace and the integrity of good faith to the point of being evil rather than spiritual.   I don't practice or follow any dogmatic religion, but I do get a very strong sense that some form of evil is being unleashed upon humanity or is somehow emerging from certain people who are inherently evil.  And that's meant to be an observation, not a judgement.  I would not go so far as to say anyone cannot be redeemed.  That's not my call, and besides, none of us is 100% blameless or pure.  But there is grave evil in the world, of that I am certain.
