FS: Framed Posters?

Does anyone ever buy already framed posters? I have a few I'm thinking of parting with due to being strapped for cash. I don't usually see people selling them already framed. Any advice? Do you usual do in person delivery only due to shipping difficulties? These are professionally framed with museum glass, black frames.

I've found that it is better to sell w/out the frame unfortunately. The glass is the problem. Bottom line the risk is not worth it. The poster is actually safer wrapped in craft paper, and put into a very heavy duty poster tube with a metal screw top. They even have poster tube mailers to protect your tube (haha) at the USPS. Removing the poster is nerve wracking. Use rubber gloves and get a very sharp utility knife. If I can do it you can too! Good luck and I will be pulling for you. Better days are ahead. Just do whatever is the right thing, and all will get better sooner & hopefully!

Some people have sold/shipped framed posters, and some have done in person pickup. One of the challenges to selling a framed print is that the frame and matting choices can be highly personal or subjective, I.E. not everyone’s taste. In some cases people have spent a lot on framing which is then not recouped through the sale.

Good luck OP with your sale(?), and hope the financial ease soon.

Thanks for the advice. I get it on the personalization. I have a good framer who works out of their home so the cost is pretty reasonable, especially compared to some big city prices. Hoping that makes it attractive alternative to buying the poster and having to frame yourself.
