I understand the complete song, I get what it's about and everything but is there any deep meaning that I have missed in the line

"She dreams in color, she dreams in red"

Why red? Why was she dreaming in the first place? Is there anything I've missed?

Well...I think "She dreams in color" is about seeing life in a beautiful way again. Her life is gray and not vivid or lively. Sort of like a what a forest may look after it was burnt. There was color there, but now it is just gray. so her dreams are about how wonderful and full of happiness her life can be.

"She dreams in red"

I think this has double meaning...red = 2 things, passion and hate

So she is either thinking of a time when she will feel passion again, or someway to get out. And for some they concider murder. Any abused woman who is down and out thinks of ways to get out. so maybe she is thinking of how to harm him. I like the passion explaination better though.

She dreams in Red highlights the hell she is living through..Red is usually an angry colour and it's about the anger she has stored up inside her, so much that it is invading her dreams. She dreams in colour is the life she wants to live, her idea or a better life.
