MUDCRUTCH (pre-Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers)

Mudcrutch was an early Tom Petty band based in Gainsville, Florida that existed from 1970-1975,
when the band disolved and more or less morphed into Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.
Fast forward to 2007, when Petty thought it would be fun to put Mudcrutch back together to record
the album they'd never had the chance to make in the '70s.
This "debut" album was released in 2008 and Mudcrutch did a 10-date tour of California to celebrate!
In the above linked video of the song "Scare Easy", you'll recognize Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench
from The Heartbreakers, as they were also members of Mudcrutch back in the day.
For the record (don't excuse the pun - I meant it) Mudcrutch also released a live vinyl EP in 2008 and
a full studio album called "Mudcrutch 2" in 2016. All three records are very worth having and listening to.
