The question is less about the Russia/Syria lady. The question is whether the DNI's assessment is right or wrong. Unless you are suggesting that she was able to create a narrative completely at odds with what the DNI actually determined. But secondly, this isn't the only bit of information that cause the D's or people like me to question the actual threat. Israel has been claiming since 1988, literally, that the Iran is weeks/months away from nuclear. Bibi has stood in front of the Knesset, Congress, and the UN assembly and made these claims year after year. So what changed this week? Well my suspicion is the calculus for the Israelis. I think they believed Trump was going to make a JCPOA type deal so they needed to convince him to let them attack, using trumped up risk.
That may or not may be the "D's" thought process. But it is mine and my independent reading of the situation and the long-tiring scare tactics on this issue.
