I had not heard this case before. Really interesting that they can't figure out if the body was killed inside a house or by a car...0

It's all over the local news here, has been for 3+ years and really kicking back into high gear with the new trial.
I know folks who are convinced she is being framed. You see people holding signs everywhere. There are billboards. It's insane.
I think she did it but not necessarily premeditated. I find the whole frame theory to be very outlandish. This weekend we rock Portland0 -
I can't believe how long it takes for so many murder cases to get to trial. I remember watching the interrogation videos for this case AGES ago. It's the same for so many cases, esoecially high profile ones. I underatsbd the processes that are happening, and I really feel like the American justice system is practically grinding to a standstill.

Prosecutors say victim was hit by car and thrown across lawn with enough force to kill.
The victim did not have a bruise below the neck.
Just dog bites.
Just another shady case of some shady cops that were blackout drunk, threw punches at a party that unintentionally caused another drunk cop to die, and tried to cover it up.
The whole world will be different soon... - EV

Without leaving any traces or broken pieces of a smashes out light at her where. Not impossible, but seems extremely unlikely. The more plausible explanation is she hit him, either by accident or on purpose, then went home. Seems more likely than a bunch of drunk cop coworkers got into a fight, killed a guy, dumped him outside, drove to his out to smash out a light and plant evidence, and get 11 witnesses to say he never made it inside the house. The simpler one is usually the right one.0 -
It reminds me, on a much more tragic level, of a night at the very end of my old college days.
There were a group of us hopping to houses, bars, etc. Just majorly fucked up. I woke up in a random dorm/suite.
It turns out one of us lit a massive tray of fireworks off in our house. Was a huge fiasco. Luckily the house didnt burn down. However, the cops and detective were hell bent on fucking us over and someone(s) taking a pretty big fall for this. They had my one buddy in the county jail. We were pretty much dead to rights.
However, everyone was blackout drunk. Nobody's stories made any sense and there was no continuity between each person's sequence of events. Who people were with, what times, where, etc was all just a garbled mess. I was the last person the detective interviewed because I was MIA all morning at the dorms. I could not recall much and he was like forcing me to answer, so I was just making shit up. I had to go into another room to wait and I heard the detective swearing and trashing his office in frustration. It was great.0 -

What’s more likely? Crazy chick on the outs with her significant other backs over him when blackout drunk or the local police, EMTs, firefighters, mass state police, ADA, DA, judge, and everyone in the house all conspire to frame said women? People can’t keep secrets. No way that many people can have the same story. There might be enough reasonable doubt created by her high-priced attorneys where she walks but make no mistake…she did it.

The idea that everyone involved is lying except her just doesn't pass the smell test. I think the state overreached pursuing 2nd Degree Murder charges, but I think she's guilty of manslaughter at least.0 -
I'm going to dive into the Read case more. I have heard about it but didn't realize the controversy.
I watched the Dateline special about the Idaho murders last night. Amazing stuff. That guy is a true psychopath. I feel so sorry for all those involved and totally forgot that there was a friend that was supposed to be in that house that night but had to stay at her parents house to care for their dogs because their flight was coming in late. She may have escaped death due to that.
It sounds like the defense is trying to get the DNA evidenced tossed but the guy was searching on Amazon for the same knife sheath that he left behind that fucking night.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Verdict watch. My guess is a hung jury or not guilty. Deliberations resume Monday0
