So… if you’re going to buy one Pittsburgh bootleg is it night 1 or night 2?
Easily night one. Take away hunger strike and night two had a very pedestrian setlist than never felt cohesive. Yeah the crowd was great on night two, but I don't get everything else being said about it
Pittsburgh had a special occasion feel that I haven't felt from the band since 2018. Sure there could have been deeper cuts, but I'll take Hunger Strike, Little Wing and the first ever Comes Then Goes tag.
Yeah, I don't know if it can possibly come across on the bootleg (clearly not) but N2 definitely had an incredible vibe - as if everyone knew we weren't going to be doing this again for some time. The band knew it and the fans knew it and everyone just seemed really grateful to be there.

Maybe it's because it was the first time they were in town in 12 years and I stopped traveling to see them because of the long gaps, but I didn't feel that at all. If there was any emotion for me it was being letdown by the show (given, I was at state college). I get that aspect of it though if you've been to a lot of shows recently.

Not sure if this got mentioned, but the guy Ed played Man of the Hour for on Night 1 was the "I love you, Eddie!" screamer during the encore break on night 2. We met him and his buddy in the pit. Nice guys.
haven't listened to n2 yet but between the two shows, it had so much more emotion and the crowd was just nuts from the very beginning. n1 was probably the better of the two but the way N2 FELT had me thinking it was one of the best I had ever been to

I didn't even think the crowd was better on night two. That being said, that's not why I go to the shows. I had higher expectations for night two. The show just felt off to me. Of the 12 shows I've been to, it's probably near the bottom.

Night 1 was special for me since I took my 7 yr old son to see them for his first show and on the rail. He asks to listen to it every day and wears his bracelet I believe Shaindli1 made him every day as well. Night 2 was also special and had a vibe to it with the Cornell tributes. The sound was better in the seats 2 rows up on Mike’s sides on night 2. I have to go with Night 1 for the set and overall experience.

I was thrilled with both shows; I couldn’t have been happier. On paper, I’d take N1’s setlist over N2’s, but paper only tells half the story. Footsteps opener was great and unexpected. That whole segment on N1 from Sleight of Hand through Daughter/It’s Okay was simply amazing. Sleight is my favorite all time PJ song and I never thought I’d get to hear it again, so I was over the moon when they played it. The hand trilogy was one of my favorite moments from any PJ’s show I’ve ever been to. Binaural is my favorite album, so getting to hear Grievance right after that was icing on the cake (thank you @Shaindli1)! My City of Ruins is one of my favorite Bruce songs, and MOTH brought the waterworks. Similar to @Shaindli1 and @GlowGirl I also had some incredible personal moments during the show—Ed grabbing my hand during Wreckage and handing me the wine bottle after Baba—which made it a really special show for me.
But having said that, I thought that overall, N2 was the better show. The energy of both the band and the crowd was on another level from N1- likely due to the fact that everyone knew it would be the last show for a while. The place was LOUD from the opening notes of Garden, and it didn’t let up. Deep, Immortality, Faithful, and Insignificance were all great. The dedication to Cornell with the Comes than Goes tag on Wishlist was amazing, and the place literally exploded when they went into Hunger Strike. Also, that was one of the best, most intense and energetic versions of RVM I’ve ever heard. Little Wing is my favorite song of all time by any artist ever, so getting to hear them close out the show and the tour with that was really amazing.
I actually haven’t had a chance to listen to the N2 bootleg yet, but I thought N1 sounded great. Looking forward to hopefully listening to N2 later tonight.

Agreed. I told my Son on the way out it felt like we just watched the Super Bowl or World Series after night 2 and we were even in the pit for night 1 but there was just something about that Sunday night show that was electric. Not that night 1 wasn't awesome....

No actually, I'm not comparing them at all. At this point I'm just not sure I was at the same show. Night one felt like they could have played another three hours easily. Night two felt like they were ready to be done (except Mike).
I've also learned from Reddit that some of the fanbase thinks they can do absolutely no wrong amongst other things, so hey whatever. Out of the 12 shows I've been to, it's not near the top for me.
