    I take issues with this and some of the other major media news coverage of the No Kind protests and call bullshit and here's why:
    Of the photos in that AP photo essay (which I saw last night along with others), 14 of them show peaceful protest and 11 show confrontation, violence, or the results of confrontation or violence.  That comes to 44% of the photos illustrating confrontation, violence, or the results of confrontation or violence.  
    That is misleading, sensationalist bullshit.  It does not properly reflect the widely peaceful nature of the protests yesterday. Some MAGA supporters, of course, claim that there was a lot of violence in the protests, but that's simply not true.  If you read widely, attended one of the protests yourself, and/or talked to other people in various parts of the country who participated, you will know they were very much mostly peaceful.

    Who here who participated in a protest yesterday saw 44% of what went on to involve confrontation and/or violence? I was given the finger a dozen times maybe.  That's the ONLY confrontation I witnessed, and I live in a very red city.

    From what I saw on the news, I thought the turnout was pretty good. It doesn’t matter that it doesn’t compare to 2017 protests, you’re still getting 1-2% of the population to give up a Saturday to protest, when half the population won’t even vote when we have mail ballots.

    Nothing will change until democrats become a party that can win back the senate. Nothing over this weekend made it appear as if the party has a clue how to accomplish that. If anything, the turnout by location demonstrates the party is more regional than ever before.

    I don’t get how posting memes or rallies against Trump and his policies in anyway affect how Dems as a party, decide to handle the next 2 elections. 

    I agree they need to iron some shit out to win. Personally I think you are worrying about the wrong things. Republicans are always gonna call Dems liars and cheaters. Politicians in general are recent to hold their own accountable. 

    What Dems need to focus on is reaching unmotivated voters into voting for likable candidates with impactful and appealing policies that demonstrate they represent everyone in the US, not just billionaires and bigots.
