They guy is vying for the position of #1 AMT troll.  Thankfully, I have an open space on my ignore list which I am about to happily fill.  Less trolling, more space.  Life is good!

Bummer, J.  That feature really does need upgrading here.  I know it can be done.  On the Steve Hoffman music forums, when you put someone on ignore, you never see them on any device (unless you change your mind and take them off your ignore list).  It works great there.  Hopefully we'll get something like that here one of these days.

And back on topic- the No King day was a smashing success.  Don't let any troll or bot try to fool us on that.  It was great, and a sign of hope for millions of us!

It’s not the most straightforward, but you can ignore from a mobile device. Click on the individual’s name, then use the menu to “see full site”. Then it’ll be in desktop mode where you can use the ignore.

The other thing I forgot about , I was talking to an older lady she told us that she received a letter from Social Security Services that they were going to start taking a certain amount from the checks she receives every month and that they are going to take it retroactive going back to January! I’ve looked for any info I can’t find anything about just want my dad to be aware! I didn’t press the lady for any more information didn’t really want to pry

    Good to know, thanks Ben!

I've not heard that and have had so such notice myself.  I wonder if it was an official letter or might be a scam?  Or perhaps what they are talking about is the money that gets taken our for medicare?  In any case, it sounds concerning.
I've gone back to work very part-time.  It's not much, but it's also not easy to do these days.  But with the uncertainty of times and rising cost of goods, a little extra income is a good idea.  I lost five years of my full-time work life in the 90s, so I don't have the savings and investments I would like to have had.  But it could be worse. I worked hard on saving in the 00s.  I hope all of you who are still working are planning ahead and saving and investing.  The current admin want to kill social security.

Single event. Yesterday had many smaller events. The largest crowd reported by the media as of earlier this am was about 50,000. The media has since increased some estimates, but still none near the Jan 2017 rallies.

Someone disagrees with your politics and they are a troll? Why the fuck are liberals continually allowed to break the rules here, but others get booted?

For your information I ran AI on that rally size comment this morning before I made it.

if you understand how to read …I was referring to single rally size. anyone paying attention to news reports yesterday and watched the wide angle reports, there were no rallies nearly the size of the protest in 2017. It was clear as day.

But go ahead, believe the crap you believe.

If you count the pride parade, Boston was comparable lol. 200k in LA is stunning considering what that city is going thru.

But go ahead attack people or ignore them, because you can’t understand how to reach the middle.

    per AI,

    • Los Angeles: Over 200,000 according to organizers.
    • New York City: Multiple hundreds of thousands in New York, with "tens of thousands" reported by Fox 5 New York and over 50,000 according to New York Post sources.
    • Boston: Officials reported 1 million people in downtown Boston, but this included those attending pride festivities.
    • Philadelphia: Over 80,000 people, with organizers stating over 100,000 attendees.
    • Seattle: Over 70,000 people, according to city officials.
    • Chicago: 75,000 according to organizers, while police said closer to 15,000.

are you sure you are not just angry that since your red hat transformation finished, the red hats are losing the war of popular opinion?

look at the pictures of all of the events vs your boy's parade. trump is right to be embarrassed. another own goal for him. he expected hundreds of thousands to show up to support him, and in true trump fashion, he overestimated the interest in him and the love for him.

So as many or more than overall, but on a singular location probably less (no link provided).

I think you may be extrapolating what you want to from this and that’s fine. We all need to cope.

Yes, they had over 2000 events, so a few thousand per event? /s

I watched the news yesterday looking for a comparable event to 2017 or any historical rally. Didn’t see it and ai agreed this morning ny time.

To me, there was a reason they had so many locations. They wanted it easier for people to participate. In 2017 the hate for 47 was so palpable, it seemed millions were willing to drive hours to the handful of rallies then.

and look at how gimme and Brian handle my comments. They respond with personal hatred, which is against the rules, and demonstrates trump is turning them into him. I observed the rallies, read the news, ran ai, and formulated an opinion. For that I am maga lol.

i know to win elections that matter dems need to reach the middle. That’s my reason for posting here.

Last I checked size doesn't matter.
It's what gets done with it that counts.

I’d argue that a decisive swath of “the middle” votes on vibes and it has less to do with extreme aspects of the two parties positions (I mean, clearly based on how last year went) and more to do with a finger in the air when it comes time to vote.

Again, no need to move further right, offer something of substance.

Anyway I’d argue a similar amount of turn out across 2 events is basically the same regardless of locations.
