I feel like the flippers are the ones that get mad about this stuff?
I've been mad since they didn't have enough of anything at the shows.  No reason I shouldn't have been able to get a poster and a plate for when I got inside
I understand being mad about that, but that doesn’t have anything to do with the artist or the artist’s copies
I mean his site messed up when I tried to buy one both times, but I'm not even mad at him.  It's the band and their supplier that's made this miserable for a lot of people.  The ignorant comments like the above surely don't help.

Curious if @bradklausen has addressed the link that many of us had an issue with clicking. When the PJ poster was listed and we weren't able to click that one or the poster next to it (Puscifer I think it was). We never had a chance.
He won't!  I had the same issue with his Napa poster from last year. He never returned my emails or acknowledged the issue in any way.

had meant to adjust the price from $100 to $150……. was thinking so much bout just making sure everything was set up so it would go smooth…. forgot to adjust the price…………….stupid brad.
You should cancel all orders and put them up again. I may get one the 3rd time 😂.
i think i will be sending out emails to everyone who purchased one and send an invoice… i can’t afford such a short sighted mistake on my part…. it’s feast or famine as a freelancer so every penny counts.
You definitely should. Something similar to me happened with a Zoltron print once. He accidentally posted the price too low on his site, and then contacted me and asked if I'd pay the additional amount, and I did so without hesitation.
Even $150 is a very generous price for this print, given the demand.
i thought about raising it to $200 at Color Haiku but that just seems like a lot, but i knew given the demand they’d sell…. and i watch other artists sell for more…. and as i said freelance is feast or famine and every month i can pay to live as an artist is another month staying afloat and surviving…. but even after 20 years i never know what is not only a fair price to charge but also the best price to charge for me to get what a print is worth… cause not every print resonates with people… was talking to my peers at Color Haiku about this and we all seem to exist in a world where we never know how to find the Goldilocks price point for each print

The links work better in landscape mode for some reason if you are using a phone to purchase. Try it out, you will notice the difference.

Real buyers would rather give the money to the artist rather than flippers. I’m sure the demand would have still been there at $200.

if shopify doesn’t work as well for some folks… i don’t know how to address that. I know the banner on the shopify store effects the clickability of the images but i guess in landscape this isn't an issue

but if the site doesn’t work as it should for some people and works fine for others… i don’t know how to fix that or if it’s something i could  even address and is not based on each person’s individual device / internet service

i wish it worked the same for everyone… i don’t know why it doesn’t
I had the same issue with Napa Valley last year, so this isn't a new issue.  Still bummed to not even get on the list for any cancelations back then.  (I did message/emailed you requesting to)   congrats to all who scored today or via a cancelation.

i had my phone open to the poster’s url, when i made them live i refreshed the link on my phone and the add to cart button was there but then the inventory sold out in leas then 20 seconds

so it was working on my phone…. again i don’t know why it works for some but not others. There’s X amount of people all showing up at the exact same time to the exact same url so i don’t know what causes it to work fine for one person and not for someone else
I used my MacBook Air which was wired to my 1GB FiOS connection. I was able to purchase one, but I was refreshing the product page with my left hand and controlling the mouse with the right. I used Shopify to checkout so everything was already autofilled. Just sharing this because I didn’t experience any issues today, and I know I’m fortunate.

You normally hold your phone in portrait. Turn it 90 degrees to landscape and you can select the top row of posters fine.

Don't message/email an artist asking for preferential treatment, by asking if you can buy a sold out poster in case of a cancelled order, after missing on a drop. It's not cool.
Artists get inundated all of the time with emails from people asking to be put on a list to buy a sold out poster.

they are all gone now.... no need to refresh... I was going through the orders collecting emails and sending out emails  because I need to collect the remaining price from people who purchased at $100....

and in that process saw a few people who had multiple orders or had purchased one during the first sale.... would cancel those orders, then it would add a poster back into the inventory, only to be purchased by someone who already bought one... so I had to cancel THAT order... finally got it to where the cancellations all went to people who didn't have one yet... at least as far as I know, I'd wager there might be one or two people who got one at Color Haiku who maybe got one tonight.

always beyond grateful when anyone shows any interest in any art I might make... and for the years of pearl jam fans supporting me and all the flowers and love.... but like y'all, the flipping aspect of this never isn't gross and frustrating and annoying and just adds more headache and frustration to this process.... so as irritated as you all are by it, trust me, I am in the same boat with you... and sadly we are in this boat for forever, in the 20 years I've been making PJ posters, this has been and always will be a part of this unfortunately.

Thank you to all you fans of the band and of the poster art who just love the music and art, and aren't trying to just make a quick buck.

Sorry to all of you out there who missed out on this print... I wish I had one for everyone who wanted one.

oh to thrive! some years feel less like survival and maybe closer to thriving.... but it always feels like treading water year to year... but you just keep plugging along and making art... you never know what job is around the corner.

charging what one wants for it, and what it will sell for is a difficult place to find.... you can charge what you want for it, but doesn't mean people will buy it at that price.... it's more, what will people pay for it then what I want to charge.

I leave money on the table all the time... i see artists charge more, so I say "okay I will charge more too" then maybe those prints don't sell as well... and i leave money on the table that way....... so next time I think "i should charge less then last time, cause I priced them too high".. then they sell out in seconds and I could have charged more and left money on the table that way

Like I was saying, it's a problem my fellow artists seem to also have... never knowing the exact goldilocks price point for each individual print

Sometimes I can gauge if people will dig a print, and other times I think that, I am wrong and people aren't feeling a print I think is really strong.

It's a crapshoot rapture every print

    Congrats!!
Thank you both. I’m even more shocked now that Brad said it sold out in under 20 seconds. At least one went to a person instead of a bot. And this one will never be for sale as long as I am alive.

Welp I just grabbed one by paying the flipper tax on Ebay. Sorry my money couldn't actually go to the artist but I tried. Beautiful print.
