Guy Dudebro said:Fun day. I wish I had more time to hang out. I got the Zeb PIT AP and of course the Klausen AP. I had Brad sign my PIT show editions and my Nashville. Brad was super nice and very accommodating. Munk, as always, was too. I had him sign my Ohana deck.
WOW!!! Sweet haul man!

They also had Emek’s new Sublime print in different variants. It’s really gorgeous in person.. love that skeleton dog. Not a Sublime fan or would’ve snatched it up. His latest Thievery Corp and Eryka Badu prints are both amazing in person as well0

The Story behind Chromatic Intellect
There was 2 editions of this print made for sale on Pangeaseed.org an organization trying to help save the oceans. They do good work and offer some great art for sale to support the cause. Check them out.The more you learn about the octopus, the more incredible these creatures seem. I’m still not convinced they’re not the most advanced species on this planet, in terms of physical abilities and intelligence. From their mind-blowing abilities to change the color and texture of their skin through special cells in their skin (chromatophores) to their unbelievable intelligence and ability to adapt their camouflage in relation to the point of view of their would-be predators. They are simply one of the most mesmerizing creatures I’ve ever seen.
The creation of the print was an exercise in discovery, patience, and the challenge to push myself beyond my current capabilities in execution of one of my largest and most technically challenging prints to date. To add to the complexity, the print was designed for screen printing with long-time collaborator and master printer Isaac Menge and his print shop Lady Lazarus in Houston. Each of the 14 screens of color layer were meticulously drawn, layer by layer to build up as much depth and texture as I possibly could. This was a true collaboration, as Isaac added several additional passes of ink for a final count of 17 total color screens. Isaac and his team put in countless hours to try and make this print as impressive as it could possibly be, and I'm happy to hear that he considers this a portfolio show piece for his shop.
I’m excited to finally release “Chromatic Intellect” into the world and hope viewers can appreciate the incredible complexity and depth of the perhaps seemingly simple portrait of the magnificent octopus.N.C. Winters
