Shame he didn't use his platform for the women that have been raped and murdered by those illegally here.
Would have been so fkn special..
Or point out Trump scapegoating a minority group during the campaign to manipulate and rage bait his supporters, and then not follow through with the promised mass deportations after getting elected.

He didn't rank all the Nightmare on Elm Street films either. I think he has never ranked any horror series live on stage.

Would have been so fkn special..

This run of shows had just enough political commentary.  Opinions were expressed and heard with respect. No need to consistently get on a soapbox and alienate half the crowd.   Sometimes people just want to enjoy a rock show and leave their troubles behind for a couple hours. Ed did a great job balancing this. The media will always be paid to fan the flames and rile up the masses.  Don’t take the bait.
10/10. I think they’re very careful now and express things very maturely. It’s not 2003 anymore unfortunately. Imagine if Eddie put on a Trump mask. It’d be anarchy, no matter what percentage of fan at a show is a supporter.

And the media will always fan the flames to your point.

Crime rate in the US amongst Non-legal immigrants is far lower than citizens. Particularly white “Christians”..

    I would say it's hypocritical.
I know. That’s what I’m saying. You pulled a quote from 25-30 years ago that has almost zero relevancy to deflect from his point. The thing is, everyone who wants things to progress forward can be deemed a hypocrite by people who resist change.
2003 tour so 23 years ago, in fairness Trump's "grab em" quote was 2005 and pretty much everyone outside of his cult want him held accountable for it.
You’re equating Trump telling us he’s a sex offender to Ed’s quote?
I'm equating Eddie Vedder's machismo quote to Trump's machismo quote, free of any bias.

You have to engage in a high level of bias to claim two different things are the same.

Okay. What’s your experience with sex offenders and their thought processes?

Ed has his microphone, Bruce has his, Trump has social media, etc.

None of them are having conversations or debates with their audiences. They are all one-sided. Sure the crowd could applaud or boo, but it's talking/preaching to their fans

Maybe it could be a reason why the band prefers the same people up front (please see "Same folks up front" thread). I couldn't imagine if you had some maga up front at some shows. 🤪

Statistics and research are abundantly clear. Sexual violence is overwhelmingly committed by people the victim knows (and intimate partners, in particular). Citizens commit, both on average and in quantity, more crimes than do immigrants (documented or otherwise). And while we're on the topic, frat boys are several times more likely to commit an act of rape than any other group in the general populace.

All sexual violence and murder are bad. If you in fact cared about that, you would be striking a decidedly feminist tone and critiquing longstanding structural inequalities--not singling out the undocumented.
