Our Grievance girl!! 😄 You’re amazing!!! If you ever find yourself visiting San Antonio, you’ve got a place to crash! ❤️👊🏼

(That goes for you too @julieooliern! ❤️)
It was so great to meet you @EricaRMaier! We will meet again soon, may at an EV or Earthlings show and you are always welcome at our home in the PNW!! 😘
Thank you!! 😘😘 We intend to be in Seattle in late August for the Vedder Cup, but I’m going to *attempt* to stay at the Edgewater in the PJ room. 🎸 Let’s try to meet up then!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I’m going to Vedder cup too! Let’s meet up for sure! I hope you get the PJ room-let me visit you there if you get it!! 😜

Y'all are out of luck. I booked the room already. I won't be in town until the 28th, but just wanted to make sure nobody else had it that week.

I can only imagine how you’re feeling after last weekend! PJ concerts are my happy place and the feeling when one of your favorite/desire-most-to-hear-live songs starts being played is the closest feeling to Christmas morning when you opened your favorite gift from Santa. Has to be a thousand times better to have EV as your personal Santa Claus! We got to both Pitt shows, thank you for Grievance and Insignificance!

Because I didn't grow up in North America and my life's circumstances, I never got to see them live (even though I've loved them since 1991) until 2024.

This tour I came out to four shows (Raleigh x2, Pittsburgh x2). This went beyond my wildest dreams. I never expected for events to unfold the way they have, to experience such immense joy, to feel seen and heard by the band in this way. To be chosen by Ed, my hero since I was 16 (and ran away from home without much but my cassettes, then flee the country of my birth) to pick a song (omg Grievance); to also then get my other request (Insignificance) the following night; other things that transpired on this tour; to meet all those amazing fans who embraced me, treated me with the utmost kindness and generosity.
My eyes well up as I'm typing this on my phone, preparing for the long ride home.

I will never forget any of it.
    Love.
Great job picking Grievance.  Any idea why or how Ed picked you?
He was eyeing the shirt I was wearing. It was a Citizen Dick shirt with a picture of the band 😉

I started seeing your posts on the Raleigh thread and they caught my attention because I have been afraid of driving all my life and have only recently become a little more confident. My proudest moment so far was driving myself from Durham to Raleigh and back to buy merch last week. Not nearly as impressive as going all the way from Mass to NC, but an accomplishment nevertheless.

They way your story unfolded was such a joy to read and reminded me why this band and its fans are so awesome and well worth obsessing over. I hope these experiences and memories will stay with you for a long, long time and embolden your spirits should life get a little difficult somewhere down the road. See you on the highway!

You'll be happy to know I got a happy ending: I'm now back safe at home in Worcester MA. If I can do it, anyone can!

Very cool!  I've been to 38 shows and you're the only person I remember getting to choose a song! I was there 9 years ago in Boston the last time ti was played too.

Sean was asked to request a song in St. Paul but they waited until Fort Worth to play it - Undone.

Oh cool wasn;t at either show.  I got Undone in 2008- nice rarity but its on the low end of their catalogue IMO

Grievance was a most excellent pick, especially since wasn't it the only Binaural song played that night?

I came up with a "troll/joke" list and I know there'd be no way for any of these. You probably picked much better than any of us, especially with little time to think.

In thd meantime, it's just bought a ticket to see PJ fanboy Billy Strings in November in Albany. One of the most meaningful outcomes of this spring PJ run is that I conquered my fear of highway driving a year and a half after my accident. Now I know I can drive to Albany and back (though not in the dark. That's the final frontier).

Not a chance - Grievance puts you on a curve. And you can also give yourself an A and tell me my reading comprehension is shit.😁

I found myself telling my building's concierge about the tour and especially about the incident.

For the sake of context, I was not old man yelling at clouds. The guy said he loves PJ.

You had a lot riding on that.  Going to be infamous either way, but had you picked something else....would have been different for you around here ;).  So clutch.

I had typed that and took it away...but yes.  You'd be forever shunned and known as "That Last Kiss Lady"...

You'd have to leave and join DMB fan club or something.
