Pearl Jam Symbols

I was shredding the web today and I found this wallpaper that has 5 symbols on it.......

I have seen these symbols in relation to other pearl jam materials but I was wondering if anyone knows what they mean?

    Maybe each of them stands for a member of the band, like Zeppelin.

    I researched it a little further and found out that they are elements. I'm still not sure as to what elements though? There are asian elements as well as western elements. Any Help would be beneficial and sweet simultaneously.
