Kinda shocked but not that some of the 2XL posters are going for $150 now. If I had the wall space that McCready print would be amazing.0

I stared at that Kong poster for 5-10 minutes deciding on whether I should purchase it. Ultimately I decided NO. It would be nice to own what some consider a "Holy Grail" item, but still I decided no.
This is where my life is today.
My wife is in Italy visiting the Vatican.
Im on the computer contemplating spending $2700 on a donkey kong poster.
Good lord.

They raised the price on the 2006 Philadelphia 1. I got one from them in October for $200. Today there was another for $250.0

I did one last year. It was a little tricky and ended up piecing it together myself. All my local shops were telling me I’d be looking in the 1k range. The affordable online shops said they couldn’t ship the piece of acrylic that size. So I bought the frame from an online shop for about 130. When to Michales and they sold me a piece of foamboard for about 20. Then bought a piece of acrylic from Lowes for 60 or 70 maybe? They even had a hard time cutting it there because of the size. Had to make a smaller rough cut first. Have to get a bit of a thicker frame too cause the acrylic that size has a bit of weight to it.Jayfesuk said:
I was wondering on the cost, to frame something of that size.tschav said:Kinda shocked but not that some of the 2XL posters are going for $150 now. If I had the wall space that McCready print would be amazing.0 -

I have a serious question for the poster experts here. As an investment? The Kong poster. At $2700. If one were to purchase this today, as an investment. Where do you see the value of this poster 5-10 years from now? When Pearl Jam stops touring does the merchandise increase in value substantially? Does it decrease? Does this poster max out at maybe $5000? Im just curious.
And I did NOT buy it today.
I do not own it.
Im just talking.Take me piece by piece.....
