i think Porch is listed as an alternate. Great show. It gets hate but Future Days was our wedding song so me and my wife were happy. Hungerstrike was fantastic. The way EV was talking it sounds like they might be going on a long break.
Was my wedding song as well. Love it

    Hunger Strike. Little Wing.

What’s a fan to do? Just be appreciative and I think that will do. Will always be faithful to you.

    Thank you PJ.

I cried so much I scared the people around me.
The tag in the end of Wishlist opener the floodgates for me. What a way to remember and mourn Chris. Thank you Ed. I know it wasn't easy for you to share your personal grief with strangers.

Hunger Strike - allowed us to voice our grief, sadness and appreciation for a lost hero who will always be missed.

Insignificance - what can I say. A moment of pure joy for me. This was my original request in an emotional letter I sent months ago (and was featured in the April newsletter). To get it last night felt like I was floating.

Once again a great show with an awesome setlist.
Clearly Eddie was energized and quite yappy last night.
Highlights for me in no order, Garden, Oceans, HUNGER STRIKE, Insignificance, and of course speaking out in support of free speech and Bruuuuce.

    Night two highlights for me:

    Garden as an opener
Scared of Fear - I thought Stone's guitar volume was a little low maybe?? Maybe my ears are shit??
    Immortality
Faithful - Finally get to check this one off
    Insignificance
Hunger Strike - Made the whole show for me

    Other Notes:

I thought Nothingman in that #2 spot was kinda bad given that it was sandwiched between Ten songs.
I can do without Better Man, but they nailed it and had the crowd going crazy so that was fun
DTE after Hunger Strike, yeah, no thanks.

What Ed did in the end of Wishlist was no short than amazing: he shared his personal grief with us about the beloved friend he lost. And it was hard for him. Do not feel disappointed.
I love and appreciate Ed even more after that.

Incredible. I absolutely loved this show.

Have tried hard not to chase songs in the post-COVID era. With the shorter shows it's just not happening for me, and it's too easy to focus on what is not played versus what is. Still...would have loved Wash.

Garden, however was awesome. What a great sing-along to start. Nothingman into Why Go, singing the lungs out.

Running and Scared of Fear...they were fine.

One, two, three....four, two, three...Small Town into Immortality into Faithfull was FIRE. I knew right then I was going to be listening to this boot a lot. All so good.

Evenflow...I don't care if they play it every night. I love it. Mike McCready is a guitar master and that song goes so many different places. Also, pissing during Evenflow when DTE is always there for the pissing makes no sense to me.

Dark Matter and Wreckage...fun to sing-along to but we had gotten both on Friday and didn't need them again. Still...show was cooking.

And then the next five songs hit. Better Man in an unusual spot totally worked. Insignificance was killer, as was Once. Love the Mommason story.

Wishlist with a (first ever?) Comes Then Goes tag was AWESOME. If you are just seeing Wishlist on the setlist, you can't know what you missed. It was a moment.

RVM to close it out. Perfect. At this point I thought we had 19-20 songs. Was shocked to read it was only 17.

From there shit got crazy. You know those shows when the encore goes absolutely crazy? This was last night.

Future Days with Ed. Played for only the 18th time ever? After they toured on Lightning Bolt for so long? That was a surprise and this sounded so good.

Then the band is back on stage. Plugging in guitars, there is a slight reverb and swear to God the guy next to us says "That sounded like Hunger Strike." The song starts and we lost our minds. Incredible tribute to Chris. Just wow.

Then DTE. I don't know what to say other than this song is wildly overplayed and we hit the restrooms. Breath would have slotted in here beautifully.

Back for Setting Sun (awesome) and Crazy Mary complete with Mike/Boom duel (stellar) and then one more quiet one with Lukin. Perfect.

Alive was the usual event. Lights up, everyone going nuts. You know the show is ending and no one wants it to. Never gets old.

Then Ed's speech. Straight fire. Good for him. Thought the placement was odd but by the end when they launched into RITFW it worked. Not normally my favorite cover but last night was awesome. Opening act onstage too was a nice touch.

Then...Mike McCready. Yellow Ledbetter is so much fun. It's how every night two should end. Unless of course they launch into an INSANE full version of Little Wing. Oh my God. Cannot fully convey how awesome this was.

Champagne toasts to end it. I always thought night 2 at Fenway in 2016 was the happiest I've ever seen this band onstage. Last night topped it. So special.

Thank you Pearl Jam for two great nights and 30+ great years. This was an amazing two night run. Also... Pittsburgh. You were an awesome host. Hope to be back someday.

Yes! You had to witness it. Just seeing Wishlist in the setlist, you won't get it.

So many of my thoughts are in this post! I also try to not chase songs and just can’t seem to focus on how much good stuff they still play even if this was just the second of 31 shows I hadn’t heard anything new. It was just overall an amazing concert.

I loved hearing Immortality into Faithfull. Wow what a combo! Hunger Strike was just so cool too.

My only duds are being so tired of DTE and then Crazy Mary. Blaaaah haha

i I loved when the lights went back down after Alive. That was wild, don’t think that’s happened at a show I’ve been at before.

    Such a great night

Fantastic show! Still buzzing. I have a lower show count than most on here, but it took me 14 shows to finally see Nothingman which seems a little weird for one of their more commonly played songs. Also finally getting Setting Sun live after going 0-3 on the last leg was another personal success. Hunger Strike, absolutely incredible.

Still can’t wrap my head around the lack of Waiting for Stevie on this leg. Song is so great live IMO.

Great end to the Dark Matter tour. Looking forward to the next. Cheers! 🍻

I think he also gave a nod to Warhol in either elderly or immortality said something about “15 minutes “ referencing Warhol quote everyone will be famous for 15 minutes…

Ed’s voice sounded as rich and solid as I’ve heard in years last night. Amazing how his vocal instrument has been preserved compared to other bands that have been around this long.

Just a great great 4 days in Pittsburgh! Love that city and all the warm people I met, PJ & others… really lovely time! Shows were beautiful and top notch as expected.. only better 😌 thanks again to Mike & Ray for helping with extra GAs both nights… you guys are truly wonderful fans and better people! I owe you! My brother Scott, thank you my friend for all! Feel so fortunate to have met you and we had some epic times! Will have to do it again soon… Sen you are the very best of the best, eternally grateful for you in all capacities… you still believe in me when it’s hard for me to see sometimes.. always have my back and as I have yours… if you only have her as a friend… that’s plenty. I have so much to be grateful for but also have so much work to do. Had a wonderful overall Tour, could have been perfect… almost was, I ultimately didn’t live up my standards regardless of the cascade of a shitstorm that happened… fuck.

Love this band more and more…. Thank you to them & their crew… you have given me so much over the years, had lot of tears post Nashville and your spirit lifted mine and makes me want to try harder and do better! Great seeing you Chuck last night, such a wonderful guy. Glad we were able to facilitate many tickets into hands of fans… think I got 18 pairs over the 6 shows direct to others… some being at their first PJ shows ever, hard to get tix for Pitt.. others have done for me & im glad o can help.

back to the grind …. That’s ok

take care everyone and always look out for eachother in this bonkers world.. in the end it works out, at least I hope 🙂

Also, Ed was spitting, literally, passion as he sang RITFW 1st verse, after that impassioned speech about voices and issues.

I missed the spit there but he threw out a spit as he was starting rocking out on insignificance in a manner that just said “we’re not fucking around here”

Good point. I need to check how many times they did the full track. I think this was my third time (first being my first show).

I personally preferred night 1 over night 2 but the overall mood was fantastic on both. I loved RWM, Hunger Strike, Faithfull and Little Wing. The audience was amazing, even in our slightly lame area in the 220s (I hope at some point I will get 10c tix in the lower level again like 10 years ago...) It was fun seeing thwem close out a tour, they seemed to have so much fun. Thank you, Pearl Jam, you certainly made sure that it was worth seeing you 30 times so far :heart:

    An amazing weekend. Some highlights:

    - It’s Okay: a fuller version than usual. Always a treat and a great one.

    - Grievance: Amazing call by the person who was offered to make a request and a fine on-the-spot performance for a song not played since 2016

    - My City of Ruins: good crowd singing and nice change of pace. Nice unspoken nod to Bruce.

    - Black: Mike’s lead was legendary, inspired, and he was a man possessed (in a good way). The muse was flowing through him and he surrendered. “A lesson to be applied,” if you will.

    - Even Flow: Andy’s intro was powerful. Nice job, Ed!

    - Future Days: also a nice change of a pace. A beautiful song and sometimes ballads take time to grow on fans. I felt like last night made some strides. Beautiful performance by Ed.

-Hunger Strike: the crowd playing a significant role made it quite a poignant moment on a day of remembrance

    - Crazy Mary: Boom and Mike “duet” inspiring each other and bringing great music.

    - Free speech: Ed’s support of Bruce and the American value of free speech even when people disagree on issues was inspiring and the crowd was fully (albeit not unanimously) reciprocating his message of democracy.

    - Audience: this one will vary depending on where one sits, but we were lucky to be in sections both nights were there no chompers, no assholes, and people mostly stood.

Thank you, Pearl Jam and all of you.

I had yet to see Garden performed live, so I burst into tears from the get-go. And I can’t even begin to describe how much singing along to Hunger Strike meant to me.

Both Garden and Hunger Strike were staples of my teen years. I was sooo jealous that Australia got to experience it last year … over the moon that we got our own experience.

Also hearing Once, Scared of Fear, Running, Future Days, Lukin etc … Night 2 was an absolute blast. Grateful just feels like too small a word to describe the whole weekend. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Also, Ed was spitting, literally, passion as he sang RITFW 1st verse, after that impassioned speech about voices and issues.

I missed the spit there but he threw out a spit as he was starting rocking out on insignificance in a manner that just said “we’re not fucking around here”
I know the spit you’re talking about 🤣
