Note to the Band Bringing Son to Pittsburg N1

Hello! I'm James. Even though this is likely to get lost in the white noise of the forum and not get read by anyone in the band, I wanted to write it today just to give some time and space for my thoughts around something that means a lot to me.
The first time I saw Pearl Jam was in 1995 at Alpine Valley. The hardest part was getting a ride to the show as I wasn't old enough to drive yet! I've been to a few dozen shows since then and Pearl Jam's music has been a big part of my life. It helped me get through some really tough times, the music acting as a voice for me when I felt voiceless and a friend when I felt alone. Eventually I got married, had kids, and the music remained a constant, growing to fill the new parts of my life. I found myself singing Pearl Jam songs to both of my kids after reading to them at night. Last summer, I took my son, named Quinn and aged 9, to his first Pearl Jam show (and first concert ever) at Wrigley. He loved it. He loved it so much that we are coming to Pittsburgh N1, just the two of us - father and son - to celebrate his 10th birthday with the band and music that we listen to and love together.
I can't wait to see all of you there - the band, the fans - and to feel the energy! If you see a 10 year old boy walking around with a dad in a Cubs Vedder 10 baseball jersey, wish him a happy birthday!
Enjoy the shows!
