they don't. they are mostly preaching to the choir. and pissing off the rest. I always liked the idea of getting people to get involved, getting people to register at shows, no matter their politics. More people voting/getting involved equals better overall representation.
Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer

I'm guessing you haven't seen the clip from MSG 2 last year. Clearly, many fans were upset with what he had to say.

Yes, in that  blue state New York in Manhattan... possibly the bluest County in the country.

Vibes of Uniondale 2003 for sure.

The vibe of that show wasnt preaching to the choir. Actually, the opposite.

I don’t know jeebus, but I know Jesus and I’ll pray for you after I wake up and before I go to work this morning. Making light of an entity you don’t understand isn’t sound, just ask #pilate. I’m being frank, no dirty pun intended. These are talented musicians but lack of faith and acknowledgment of God is disturbing and questionable about life as a whole.
You got a weird christ there, friend.

We know who Eddie is. He could have said "please respect our courageous ICE agents" and then we'd all do a 180 on our respective positions. In either case, we have to decide whether we want to continue to go to shows and support the band in other ways.

Is he cool to hang out with? What is his shoe size? What's his favorite ice cream flavor?
    This weekend we rock Portland

If Eddie said, “please respect our courageous ICE agents” in this current fascist climate at a show I attended, I wouldn’t do a 180, I’d cancel my membership and would no longer support Pearl Jam in any way, shape or form. Fuck that noise.

Same. And if people don't like him standing for trans kids, etc., they can do the same. Otherwise, they need to deal with it.
