Last Night’s Show in Raleigh

Eddie Vedder’s rant about identity was such a leap and spin on reality and a cop-out. The WMA singer talking about infringing on other people’s rights? What about the rights of biological girls and boys who have to now be subjected to a trans girl or boy and whatever they want? What about the aborted babies? What about the deadbeat moms and dads who you give a pass to EVERY TIME YOU DO THIS?! The system isn’t inherently racist, just the people within it who have the platform.

If they do that’s another topic. These guys politics are a joke, they have a song titled WMA but espouse guidance we should heed?! Their music abilities are great but their thinking is flawed. Kids need a mom and dad, not a mom and mom or a dad and dad. They, you, and all of us were created in His image but given free will. They seem to deny Him and the way Peter did Jesus. On another note SVRDhand13, that’s a dumb name. While quickly glancing at your name I thought you gave Stevie Ray Vaughan thirteen handjobs. Just saying!

    I don’t know jeebus, but I know Jesus and I’ll pray for you after I wake up and before I go to work this morning. Making light of an entity you don’t understand isn’t sound, just ask #pilate. I’m being frank, no dirty pun intended. These are talented musicians but lack of faith and acknowledgment of God is disturbing and questionable about life as a whole.

    The argument against PJ having an intermission at shows is that it would ruin the “concert vibe.” Nonetheless, that vibe is often ruined by long monologues, many times political. Fans at msg2 last year can certainly attest to that.

    He has every right to say what he wants, but what’s the point. He had his chance to do these shows in purple and red states before the election, but made the decision that was not important enough, so we get these trump state shows after the election. Big whoops. Obviously the majority of Americans, especially at this time in these states, don’t care about his trans pov.

    He had his chance to perhaps have a 1% impact, to maybe start a conversation that could change a few minds, but decided not to show up.

    IDK how much impact entertainers have on the discourse, but I agree I think if he thought he could make a difference last year was the time. 

    All the same, nothing wrong with standing up for things still.

I’m being frank, no dirty pun intended. These are talented musicians but lack of faith and acknowledgment of God is disturbing and questionable about life as a whole.

    We know who Eddie is. He could have said "please respect our courageous ICE agents" and then we'd all do a 180 on our respective positions. In either case, we have to decide whether we want to continue to go to shows and support the band in other ways.
