Our trade deal so far is no tariffs on Rolls Royces and Bentleys and our refugee policy is white South Africans only.

Both still below where they were when he took office and his economic "policies" caused major drops.

China coming around on trade agreement? Try not to forget what the tariffs between the States and China were before Trump - zero. Now, they anounce a pause while they 'continue to negotiate', and tariffs from one direction are 10%, and from the other are 30%. Meanwhile, Trump's administration can't even consistently say whether or not they had even started to negotiate with China, as of a week ago.

A President don't deserve credit for hurling poop at the wall and then cleaning up three-quarters of it, promising to do the rest later. And that smear will start to stink really bad if it isn't dealt with.

As for the lowering prescription drug prices, if this changes, won't these drug manufacturers lose a substantial chunk of their profit which would've formerly been reinvested into further R&D? Does this change the calculus in where these drugs are/should be developed, between the States and elsewhere in the world?

That is simply untrue. There were tariffs as high as 376% for certain food products from China. You just do not read about it in the newspaper because they are not levied on all products. Look up Section 301 tariffs. The US apparel and consumer goods industries have a very strong lobby and have mostly avoided high tariffs until this latest round. It is not an accident they are being significantly lowered.

It’s not about squaring it. It never was. It’s only about end zone dancing regardless of being up or down in the score.

It's like this stupid ass plane. Boeing isn't moving fast enough for trump so he wants this "gift" from Qatar with all its gold decorations, etc.

Imagine the cost of having to examine every square inch of this plane to clear it for listening devices and/or other security measures. What a fucking douche.

I have always taken the position that the new "Trump" tariffs were unlawful. I am surprised how quickly this decision came down and hope the same expedience happens in the appellate courts. Not going to help any small to medium US businesses in the short term.
