Dear Ed,
You only live once, right? Well, I’m still alive and I don’t want to regret not ever taking the chance, near impossible chance, to fulfill a childhood dream AND share it with my children.
I took my, now 17 yo daughter, to see the April 21, 2016 Columbia, SC show. She knew my dream was to play Alive on stage with the band and drew a poster and held it up that night. You acknowledged her, I know you saw that smile, and then you said to “keep practicing Dad, we’ll have to try you out next time”.

Well I’ve been practicing since I took my TEN cassette to guitar lessons back in 92’. Note for note, solo and all. It’s the song that changed my life forever, for so many reasons, including the motivation to learn how to play guitar like Stone and eventually Mike. Though I never thought then I could ever play like Mike, it’s made a tremendous impact on me as a musician.
I am bringing my two boys, Jacob Vedder 10 and Jordan Max 8, to their first Pearl Jam show in Raleigh the second night on 5/13 and have floor seats, (thank you 10C).
I’m ready to take you up on that offer, Ed, if you’ll have me.
With Love,
Adam
