Skate Decks | production figures (regular edition)

I found a Limited Edition (50) announced and later gone in a second - thread closed
A lot more is on board. Makes no sense to dig into those to find maybe nothing in combination with a simple question:

Were the production figures for regular edition skate decks ever published ?

for example - latest:
APR 2025 Hollywood, FL 1+2
APR 2025 Atlanta 1+2
How many were made?
(made=sold)
or for any other place
If I would be forced to choose one place > Manchester 2024

    Skate Deck Sales Mess Bump

Anyone who remember a view on the searched figures on board here?

    Suspense:
Are there no skate decks for sale on location on Tuesday 6 May 2025 in Nashville?
    As from now on forever?
    1 per customer debut?

I asked Grok to interpret this post for me.  The results:

The post you’ve shared from the Pearl Jam message board is indeed a bit confusing due to its fragmented phrasing and unclear references. However, it seems to focus on concerns and questions about the availability and sales policies for Pearl Jam souvenir skateboard decks at their concert scheduled for May 6, 2025, in Nashville as part of the Dark Matter World Tour. Let’s break it down and interpret what the person might be asking or expressing, using the context of Pearl Jam’s merch practices and the provided search results.

    ### Interpretation of the Post

    1. **“Skate Deck Sales Mess Bump”**
       - The term “bump” is common on message boards to revive or bring attention to an older thread, suggesting the user wants to rekindle discussion about skate deck sales.
       - “Skate Deck Sales Mess” likely refers to ongoing issues or frustrations with how Pearl Jam’s souvenir skateboard decks are sold at concerts. Based on the search results, fans frequently complain about scalpers, limited stock, and unfair purchasing practices (e.g., flippers buying multiple decks to resell at high prices on eBay). This could be the “mess” the user is alluding to.[](https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/302208/2024-tour-merch-thread-any-info-or-pictures-to-share/p32)

    2. **“Anyone who remember a view on the searched figures on board here?”**
       - This is vague, but it seems the user is asking if anyone recalls specific information or data (“searched figures”) about skate deck sales discussed previously on the message board. They might be referring to details like the number of decks produced per show, their price, or sales restrictions, which have been topics of fan discussion. For example, a Reddit post from 2024 speculated on production quantities (1,000–1,500 posters per show, with decks likely fewer).[](https://www.reddit.com/r/pearljam/comments/1f99w1r/posterskate_deck_quantity/)
       - The phrase “on board here” probably means “in this forum” or “on this thread.”

    3. **“Suspense: Are there no skate decks for sale on location on Tuesday 6 May 2025 in Nashville?”**
       - The user is expressing uncertainty or concern (“suspense”) about whether skate decks will be available at the Nashville concert on May 6, 2025, at Bridgestone Arena.[](https://www.bridgestonearena.com/events/detail/pearl-jam-dark-matter-world-tour-2025)[](https://www.ticketmaster.com/pearl-jam-tickets/artist/735836)
       - This question might stem from rumors, past experiences, or inconsistent merch availability at different tour stops. For instance, some shows have had decks at multiple merch stands, while others sold out quickly or didn’t offer them.[](https://www.reddit.com/r/pearljam/comments/1f6lyt4/skateboards/)
       - The user could be worried about a specific issue, like decks being sold out before the show (common with pre-show merch trucks) or not being offered at all due to production or logistical constraints.

    4. **“As from now on forever?”**
       - This hyperbolic question likely reflects frustration or speculation about whether Pearl Jam has changed their merch strategy permanently, perhaps stopping skate deck sales altogether or altering how they’re distributed. It could be a reaction to perceived trends, like fewer decks at recent shows or stricter sales policies to combat scalping.

    5. **“1 per customer debut?”**
       - This suggests the user is asking if Pearl Jam will introduce (or has introduced) a “one per customer” limit for skate deck purchases at the Nashville show or beyond. Fans have long complained about scalpers buying multiple decks to resell at inflated prices (e.g., decks sold for $85 at merch stands but listed for $399–$699 on eBay). A one-per-customer rule would be a new policy (“debut”) to ensure more fans can buy decks at face value.[](https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/302208/2024-tour-merch-thread-any-info-or-pictures-to-share/p32)
       - The search results mention fans advocating for such limits, especially for pre-show merch trucks, to prevent flippers from hoarding stock.[](https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/302208/2024-tour-merch-thread-any-info-or-pictures-to-share/p32)

    ### Context from Search Results

The search results provide useful context about Pearl Jam’s skate deck sales and fan sentiments, which help clarify the user’s concerns:

    - **Skate Deck Popularity and Scalping**: Souvenir skate decks are highly sought-after collectibles, often priced around $85 at merch stands but resold for hundreds on eBay. Fans are frustrated by scalpers who buy in bulk, sometimes purchasing multiple decks at pre-show merch trucks before ticketed fans can access them.[](https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/302208/2024-tour-merch-thread-any-info-or-pictures-to-share/p32)[](https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_nkw=pearl+jam+skateboard&_dcat=53267)
    - **Availability Issues**: Decks frequently sell out quickly, sometimes within minutes, as seen in a London show where they were gone before some fans could buy. Fans have noted that not all merch stands carry decks, and availability varies by city.[](https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/302208/2024-tour-merch-thread-any-info-or-pictures-to-share/p32)[](https://www.reddit.com/r/pearljam/comments/1f6lyt4/skateboards/)
    - **Production Quantities**: While exact numbers for 2025 are unavailable, past discussions suggest limited runs of decks per show, likely fewer than posters (estimated at 1,000–1,500 per show in 2016).[](https://www.reddit.com/r/pearljam/comments/1f99w1r/posterskate_deck_quantity/)
    - **Fan Suggestions for Fairness**: Fans have proposed restricting sales to ticket holders for a certain period or enforcing a one-per-customer limit to curb scalping.[](https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/302208/2024-tour-merch-thread-any-info-or-pictures-to-share/p32)
    - **Nashville Concert Details**: Pearl Jam is scheduled to perform at Bridgestone Arena on May 6 and 8, 2025. No specific merch details for these shows are available yet, but the venue’s policies (e.g., bag size limits) suggest logistical constraints that could affect merch sales.[](https://www.bridgestonearena.com/events/detail/pearl-jam-dark-matter-world-tour-2025)[](https://www.ticketmaster.com/pearl-jam-tickets/artist/735836)

    ### What the Person Is Likely Talking About

The user is likely a Pearl Jam fan concerned about the chaotic state of skate deck sales, particularly for the upcoming Nashville show on May 6, 2025. They’re seeking information from the community about whether decks will be available, if there’s a new one-per-customer policy, or if sales practices have changed permanently due to ongoing issues with scalping and limited stock. The “mess” refers to the broader fan frustration with flippers, sellouts, and unequal access to merch, as evidenced by discussions on the Pearl Jam Community forum and Reddit. The user’s questions reflect anxiety about missing out on a collectible item and a desire for clearer, fairer sales policies.[](https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/302208/2024-tour-merch-thread-any-info-or-pictures-to-share/p32)[](https://www.reddit.com/r/pearljam/comments/1f6lyt4/skateboards/)

    ### Addressing the User’s Questions

Since the user is asking for community input, here’s how their questions might be answered based on available information:

    1. **Will skate decks be available in Nashville on May 6, 2025?**
       - No official merch details have been released for the 2025 Nashville shows. However, skate decks have been a staple at many Pearl Jam concerts, with recent tours (e.g., 2024) offering them at various stops like Chicago, Boston, and Los Angeles. It’s likely decks will be available, but they may sell out quickly, especially at pre-show merch trucks. Fans should check the Pearl Jam Community forum or Ten Club announcements closer to the date for updates.[](https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_nkw=pearl+jam+skateboard&_dcat=53267)[](https://www.ebay.com/itm/235742323178)

    2. **Are skate decks gone “forever”?**
       - There’s no evidence suggesting Pearl Jam has discontinued skate decks permanently. They remain a popular merch item, with new designs for recent tours (e.g., 2024 Wrigley Field and Missoula decks). The user’s concern might reflect frustration with sellouts or rumors, but decks are likely to continue as long as demand persists.[](https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_nkw=pearl+jam+skateboard&_dcat=53267)

    3. **Is there a one-per-customer policy debuting?**
       - No confirmed policy exists for 2025, but fans have long called for such a limit to prevent scalping. Some shows have informally restricted quantities (e.g., “want 5 or 6 of something? No problem” suggests lax enforcement in the past). A one-per-customer rule would be a fan-driven suggestion rather than an official change unless announced by Pearl Jam or Ten Club.[](https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/302208/2024-tour-merch-thread-any-info-or-pictures-to-share/p32)[](https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/302208/2024-tour-merch-thread-any-info-or-pictures-to-share/p32)

    ### Additional Notes

    - **Scalping Frustrations**: The user’s post aligns with widespread fan anger about flippers, who are often fans themselves but prioritize profit. This could explain the “mess” and the push for a one-per-customer rule.[](https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/302208/2024-tour-merch-thread-any-info-or-pictures-to-share/p32)
    - **Jeff Ament’s Influence**: Pearl Jam’s bassist, Jeff Ament, is heavily involved in skate deck designs through his Montana Pool Service, which collaborates with brands like Pixies for limited-edition decks. This adds to the collectible appeal but also fuels demand and scalping.[](https://www.pearljamonline.it/en/jeff-ament-montana-pool-service-collaborates-with-pixies-for-a-skate-deck/)
    - **Venue Logistics**: Bridgestone Arena’s strict bag policies and security screenings might slow down merch access, potentially exacerbating the “mess” if lines are long or stock is limited.[](https://www.bridgestonearena.com/events/detail/pearl-jam-dark-matter-world-tour-2025)

    ### Conclusion

The user is expressing frustration and seeking clarity about Pearl Jam’s souvenir skate deck sales for the May 6, 2025, Nashville concert, amid a broader “mess” of scalping, sellouts, and inconsistent availability. They’re asking if decks will be sold, if a one-per-customer policy is being introduced, or if sales practices have changed permanently. While no specific details for 2025 are available, past tours suggest decks will likely be offered but may sell out quickly due to high demand and scalping. The user’s post reflects a common fan desire for fairer access to these collectibles, a sentiment echoed in fan discussions online.[](https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/302208/2024-tour-merch-thread-any-info-or-pictures-to-share/p32)[](https://www.reddit.com/r/pearljam/comments/1f99w1r/posterskate_deck_quantity/)[](https://www.reddit.com/r/pearljam/comments/1f6lyt4/skateboards/)

    Wow. Thanks for the service.

    2. **Are skate decks gone “forever”?**
       - There’s no evidence suggesting Pearl Jam has discontinued skate decks permanently.
😉My thought was: only available via Home Shop and the Artist online from now on.
= No way to buy a skate deck in person on location on show day anylonger.

    EDIT

But there are skate decks advertised at the merch stalls on show day.
The sale day via Home Page Shop would be after the show day.
    (different to New Orleans)

    EDIT 2

Manchester skate deck ;) I couldn’t remember the art design and revisited the 2024 tour merch thread for it… soccer balls and tea towels but no skate deck:)

I wonder how many PJ skate decks will never hit the asphalt.
Anyone with a wrecked PJ skate deck?
