Tbh, I would have preferred switching one of the covers for a PJ song but that's just me.Melbourne #1 '98

Interesting to see YL in a different spot, but I’m all for mixing it up.0

Yeah, it was great. The whole day was; in fact, the whole festival has been, and I’ll be back today for another full day of music topped off with My Morning Jacket this evening. Truly a wonderful experience and I would recommend JazzFest to anyone wanting to experience a well-run festival with a huge range of high quality music.gotthebottle said:
DUMPSTAFUNK is da bomb!oftenreading said:Here at the main Festival stage and finding a spot to watch Dumpstaphunk first. Already super crowded and will be more so as time gets closer but based on other bands sound will be good even fairly far away.Have already heard some awesome jazz and other music.Assuming we don’t get rained out, the rest of the day should be as great as the what’s gone beforemy small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0

I'm jealous of anybody who was at the mainstage seeing Samantha Fish, Dumpstaphunk , and PJ yesterday. Setlist looked fun, but I thought the 2016 set was even better. "State" to open. "Long Road" midway through the show. "Of the Earth", "Inside Job", "In Hiding", "God's Dice", "The Real Me".... It was bonkers, even for a regular show.0

We skipped Samantha Fish because we wanted to see Jason Marsalis and his band and that was such good jazz. We probably missed out on a better spot for the rest of the day I think it also would have been tough to spend another two hours standing in the sun.3days said:I'm jealous of anybody who was at the mainstage seeing Samantha Fish, Dumpstaphunk , and PJ yesterday. I’m in the minority I’m sure but subbing the harmonica in Red Mosquito kind of ruins the song0
