Low Light is about Natural Light

A piece of some of my creative writing from my "drinking every day" period. With all the Yield posts today, I thought I'd break it out. And if you're sick of reading about Yield, then 1) why are you reading this and 2) don't fucking read it then. There's all kinds of shit I don't like to read, but I don't go posting "I don't like reading about this" in all of 'em.
So anyway....fuck yeah..... \m/
After careful review, I have decided that "Low Light"
(from YIELD, nonetheless) is about the consumption of
massive quantities of Natural Light. Evidence is as
follows:
"Low Light" - Ed understands that we spend a lot of
money on bootlegs and like to drink all day without
passing out by 6pm, so we all go buy cheap (low) light
beer (light). Low Light is about Natural Light.
"Clouds roll by" - There ain't shit to do. Let's drink
"Reeling is what they say. Is it just my way?" - Is it
okay if I go to Thornton's and buy some Natty Light?
"Can I be here all alone? Clear a path to my home" - I
drank all night and everyone's asleep. Take my drunk
ass home!
"Blood runs dry" - I'm dehydrated from all this
Natural Light
"Two birds is what they'll see" - They're so fucked up
they're seeing shit
"Getting lost upon their way" - They're drunk, too.
"All I feel is calm" - Dude I'm drinking my 40 of NL,
and and fuckin chilling.
"Carrrrrrrrr crash" - Way too much Natural Light.
"Your first, my last" - This is your first one, but
I'm fucking done. I just hit my neighbor Rex with a bottle of NL
when I threw it off the back deck.
"Eeeeeeeeeyesight" - so fucked up you can't see
"I need the light" - need I say more?
"What's real our dream I see" - I'm just going to
chill with my NL and think about shit.
There you go. Natural Light IS the Low Light. Fuck yeah.

cool interpretation. but this is NOT the real mening of the song. but then again our interpretations are what makes the songs ours. this is just a ridiculous interpretation in my mind. I know one thing for sure, Low Light has a deliberate romantic feel to it. I would have taken the diclaimer more seriously if your heading wasn't implying that this is the actual meaning of the song.we don't want war, but we still want more?0
