Its junk era 2.0. The box prices don't justify the outcome. You used to have value in a box. Not for the last three years have I seen that.
A bow of bowman had worth but now they signed EVERYONE so you're likely to get all pitcher insets and autos. Happened to me and Last box I ever bought...
My pick-ups from this weekend’s Twin Cities Fall Card Show. Got alol for $80, which was a fair price.
I’ve always loved the 1972 Clemente card. It’s a little o/c but the corners are sharp. With the Rose, I just need the 1972 to finish my 70s Rose collection. It’s a hard card find in decent condition and reasonable price.

That sucks Chris. My buddy lives in Connecticut and he uses a local card shop to screen his cards before sending them to psa. They have equipment similar to psa and they look at each card really closely and then give you a written report on what they expect the grade to be. No guarantees but he took a flier on it and all the cards they predicted would be tens came back as tens.

I'm good at looking over the cards. I won't send in junk. I look them over in a light w a magnifying glass. There are certain cards they just won't grade high like the ichiro/pujols rookie and the 1984 Mattingly. I sent in fine specimens and got back 8's. What friggin joke. I'm going to resend them again and see what happens.

For whatever reason WWE cards are all the rage again. Hot product. About a year and a half ago they sat on shelves. Maybe because the Rock is back in autos?

I was at the big card show here in the Twin Cities a few weeks back. Several of the dealers I chatted with said the same. No one was buying. The dealers who seemed to be moving anything were the Pokémon folks.
Show was a bust... People arent really buying. I usually do really well but didn't this time around. I made some good purchases though. Bought a bunch of OS1 Garbage Pail Kids. Also a nice Judge rookie.

So pokemon right now is on FIRE. It has the most rapid growth in the industry. The flipper money maker people might be going over to that now.
I switched things up this show and sold a bunch of loose raw cards and cheap stuff. A bunch of 5-30 cards. These usually move very easily. I stayed away from the graded cards. I usually have the What Not guys clean up my low end graded stuff but didn't bother putting them out.
There may be a shift coming. I'll post some cool things I got graded and or picked up lately.
@tempo_n_groove Talk to me about this one in your post. That looks like the S2 SP but with a vintage stock logo?
Edit: I see you have a few. Were they also in S2?
The clean pants and white long sleeved SP is in series 2 only. This one is from the update. Almost similar pose which I thought was dumb. But yes this is the Vintage stock /99.
I wanted to clarify this more. The image above is the update, its the same pic for all of the variants. The Update SP is the mullet. The SSP is him holding a bat.

The Trout is a Cactus Jack Fanatics fest exclusive. Only 119 made. 1000 boxes made so I want ed one incase they dried up. The other is a rare Finest.
