The barcode shows up on my phone now. When he logs into my account he can see the ticket but no barcode shows. Not sure how to solve. Thanks 🙏0

Make sure they force quit the app and try again. That can fix a few of the issues that cause the barcode to not show.0
-
Use the browser not the app0
-
Would be curious if anyone was able to do this on last year’s set of shows. Was anyone able to share their Ticketmaster account so that a friend could use the tickets0

From what I can tell, Ticketmaster is not showing barcodes via ticketmaster.com this go-round. That means credential-sharing to view tickets probably needs to be done via the app. I'm honestly not sure what TM is tracking these days to count as 'strikes' against individuals. But if I were you, I would sign out of the Ticketmaster app and then tell your brother to sign into the app with your credentials. And I wouldn't sign back into the app on your device until he's done at the show and signed out of your account again. That's probably being overly cautious, but TM is doing anything they can to make life difficult for fans these days, under the guise of preventing scalping - which they're actually not doing. It's really great.
Whatever he does, don't let your brother add the ticket to his Apple/Google Wallet. That will definitely have implications for both your accounts and it might cause problems with the tickets. If he signs into your app he should scan the tickets from the app. Again, be very clear that he cannot add them to his wallet. It's completely ridiculous that sharing tickets with your brother is so complicated. Good luck.10/7/96 (FL), 9/22/98 (FL), 9/23/98 (FL), 8/9/00 (FL), 8/10/00 (FL), 8/12/00 (FL), 4/11/03 (FL), 4/12/03 (FL), 4/13/03 (FL), 7/8/03 (NY), 7/9/03 (NY), 7/12/03 (PA), 7/14/03 (NJ), 10/8/04 (FL), 8/5/07 (IL), 11/27/12 (FL), 12/6/13 (WA), 4/8/16 (FL), 4/9/16 (FL), 4/11/16 (FL), 8/5/16 (MA), 8/22/16 (IL), 8/8/18 (WA), 8/10/18 (WA), 9/25/21 (CA), 9/26/21 (CA), 5/3/22 (CA), 5/12/22 (CA), 5/13/22 (CA), 9/18/23 (TX), 9/19/23 (TX), 10/23/23 (WA), 10/24/23 (WA), 5/28/24 (WA), 5/30/24 (WA), 4/24/25 (FL), 4/26/25 (FL), 4/29/25 (GA), 5/1/25 (GA)

Yep did this multiple times last year without any issue. The key is to avoid the wallets because they’re finicky. Instead, we logged into each other’s TM accounts in the TM app and scanned the barcodes at the door. Last year, the barcodes usually appeared about 48 hours before the show. Is your brother still not able to see the barcodes when logged into your TM account in the app?dl152203 said:Would be curious if anyone was able to do this on last year’s set of shows. One other thought- if your brother is still having issues seeing the barcodes when logged into your TM account in the TM app, make sure you didn’t already save the tickets to your phone’s wallet. I don’t know if that could be causing the issue, but I guess it’s possible. If you already saved them to your wallet, you should delete them and see if that resolves the issue. Lmk what happens.0

One more suggestion. I’m assuming you’ve already tried this, but just in case- when your brother opens up the tickets in the TM app, make sure he clicks on the “View Ticket” button. Then the barcode should appear. Hope this helps!0

Thanks StevenB7. That information helps a ton. The strange thing is that when I go into the app, I see the barcode on my phone. After I log out my brother goes into the app using my credentials but doesn’t see the barcode. This is for the Atalanta show on Tuesday. Wonder if that will resolve itself as we get closer to Tuesday. Appreciate the insight.0

Yeah I wouldn’t be concerned. I bet about 48 hours before the show the barcode will show up for your brother as well.dl152203 said:Thanks StevenB7. That information helps a ton. I’ll be sure to let the board know if that is the case. I’m sure others will be trying this as well. Update to come before Tuesday. Appreciate the help.0

This is a new wrinkle. It's totally possible that Ticketmaster could prevent non-primary devices from viewing barcodes even through the app. If that's the case we're all screwed. 🍻dl152203 said:Thanks StevenB7. Fortunately I don’t think this is the case. I know multiple people who have shared their TM account info with others for tomorrow night’s show with no issue. So I think the barcodes will appear in the app (regardless of whether you’re using the primary device) about 48 hours prior to each show as we’re used to.EH14457 said:

Any update on this? I seem to be having the same issue when it comes to my Pitt tickets. When I log into my account in the app, I can see the ticket barcodes for my tickets (which is surprising because we’re still a few weeks away from the shows). But when I log into my friend’s account (whose tickets I’m using), I get the “add to wallet” message and no barcode. I’m hoping/assuming this will resolve closer to the show, and the barcodes will appear about 48 hours prior to the show as per usual. But at least for me personally, this is a new issue I haven’t experienced before. Is anyone else experiencing this? And I’m wondering what the cause is? Are barcodes appearing earlier on the primary device associated with the TM account for some reason?0

One thing I’d be curious to see is if you had a ticket to an earlier show if that would “unlock” the Pittsburgh tickets. But it sounds like some people with just Pitt already have the code.0

We had to use the TM app in Hollywood (or Apple wallet). They were scanning the app downloaded tickets. This is an issue for many EU phones due to geo locking on the TM app, you can’t download the US TM app and the tickets will not display in the EU one.On night 1 the people in front of me seemed to have real issues. They had tickets that wouldn’t scan, they were asked why they hadn’t been added to the wallet in advance. They were then asked to log into the TM account on the web browser to show the purchase/show the confirmation of purchase. The guy was getting really flustered.
I’m not sure what happened next as they were asked to step aside so others could go in. I presumed they had bought tickets not via TM or a fellow trustworthy fan.I would think if you download the tickets to your app (not Apple wallet obviously), then your brother logs in to the app as you on his phone he should be ok. It worked for us (using a non EU phone lol)Post edited by dottles on2009 - Manchester. 2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London, Berlin, Arras, Werchter. 2011 - PJ20 i & ii, Montreal, Toronto i & ii, Ottawa, Hamilton.

I’m curious as to when the barcodes are appearing for most people. The barcodes for my Pitt tickets just appeared this morning (I checked yesterday and was still getting the “add to wallet” message). But when I log into my friend’s account for the tickets I’m using, I still get the “add to wallet” message and can’t see the barcode. I don’t get it. 🤷0

If your brother is still having issues, make sure the tickets aren’t saved to your phone’s wallet. If so, that could be causing the issue. I just had a similar issue. I’m using tickets from a friend’s account for one of the shows. When my friend went into her account, she would see the barcodes, but I would only see the “add to wallet” message. Turns out she had previously saved the tickets to her phone’s wallet. Once she went into and deleted them from her wallet, I was able to log into her account on my phone and see the barcodes. So PSA to anyone doing trades/sharing account info/logging into someone else’s account- Make sure the person who’s account you’re using hasn’t saved the tickets to their phone’s wallet. That could be preventing the barcodes from appearing.0
