    It occurred to me that most people here don't get why I'm chuckling over the driving metaphor. A few know the story.

    So I only got my driver's license two years ago, into my fourties. But in November 2023 I had an accident; i totaled the car & ended up at the hospital. 
    Since then I have been deathly afraid of driving at night and on highways (the accident happened at night on a MA highway). 
    But in the past few months I've been going through a kind of exposure therapy: every weekend I have been driving, supervised, on highways gradually increasing the distance.
    I have been improving and working on confidence. 
    The goal is to drive from here, central MA, to Raleigh and then Pittsburgh (and back). Got less than two weeks until I hit the road. You can imagine the anxiety.

    So these spring shows will be my victory lap working through and conquering my fears. ISA.

    Congrats on the exposure therapy, S. I'm riding bicycles again, a bit. Probably should have done this with insects... (Insert shriek!)

    I'M HITTING THE ROAD FOR BC VOLLEYBALL PROVINCIAL FINALS TODAY, for my little athletic Pipsqueak, so Ill catch up with you all later!
