I'd never heard of him before this week, but he ended up in my Spotify Discover Weekly offerings, and I am really enjoying most of his stuff.

Great stuff. I really like Hamilton's work. I first got into him when he was with his band The Walkmen. Saw them a couple of times in Seattle a little over a decade ago. If you don't know The Walkmen, you probably at least recognize this song called We've Been Had:

Right on - Thank you! I knew he was in a band and I thought I remembered the name .... and I searched for "The Walkman". I was wondering why in the fuck I wasn't coming up with any results!

I didn't know The Walkmen went on hiatus. I saw them opening for the Black Keys in London in 2010. Decent band. His solo stuff is very Walkmenesque. That's one song I like from their catalogue:

I just discovered a punk/rock/WithSoulfulRhythms band called "Pinkshift" and they were f'ing great! I will see them again and I will bring a million people to that show.  They were opening for The Linda Linda's (teenage girl punk rockers who SLAY), and they were super good as were the Linda LInda's.
