Apparently Sirius is giving away 2 GAs for Thursdays show during the lunch hour (noon eastern hour) today.  I doubt my Canadian Sirius will have it :(
VIVID flash back to 5 yrs & 2 months ago😅
Right on.  Just heard the ad for the giveaway.   It says must be a US resident.   I kinda figured I wasn't eligible. Good luck all
Did it say what song was the cue to call?
No specific song, just said over the air when to call.  I’m having Apollo ptsd.
    SAME
I called for Apollo tix over 1,300 times and never got through (got close many times).
Got caller 21 twice during the Apollo days.  It sucked but not nearly as bad as what was about to happen to us all.
I got 21 twice too! Couldn't believe it. And then some guy randomly hands the people right in front of me in the standby line tickets to go in!
I got caller 21 a few times also.  However, I know that Krock in the 90s would mess with people by telling them they were the caller who just missed the grand prize.  I wonder if PJ radio was doing that too lol.

Tried the best i could. Come on everyone we are trying to get them in the right hands I could easily have explored other ways. Bots are too fast for a link posted to the site. From what I have seen a text direct link is best way, with even that very low odds.  Went with the first person who commented didn’t know a fairer way.
I didn't mean to say you did anything wrong, just trying to see if there's an even better way 🙂

There's always a chance that bots or scalpers will snipe the ticket drop even if a link is sent directly to someone, but I think if more of us are there trying to get the tickets it increases the chances of beating the bots (even if those chances are still relatively small).

Anyway, the hunt for Pittsburgh N1 tickets continues for me and my wife, we'll be in the city anyway because we're flying from England for some of the shows and have tickets for N2, so I'm hoping something will come up even if at the very last minute

    Yes, indeed.

If I am willing to book a flight, book a hotel, and it's 2 days before the show and I still didn't have tickets? Then I would just bite the bullet and spend the $1000.00 a piece on these seats. Then i would sit back and question my sanity. Did I really refresh ticketmaster 10,000 times over the last month trying to get tickets for face? Did I really check the forum 20,000 times hoping someone would miraculously sell me a GA ticket for face? Hahaha

OMG, the Apollo thing was a trip!!  I was so ecstatic to be picked and couldn't really tell anyone at work after the call because I couldn't out myself that I was calling multiple times. ha!  The community feeling of the Apollo thread was amazing and reminds me of this one.

Did they say if they are doing the GA tickets for each show?

This is my situation. I have flight, room, and plans already made.  Ticket for each show is what is missing from my weekend (shut out of 10c lottery again).  So... $1k for a primo seat woudln'tb be the worst decision Ive ever made.  Considering that the actual "Face" value tickets are impossible to get even 2 days before the show and I've been banging on this for 4 months with nothing to show for it.

I've said it for years now.

People are willing to spend Thousands of Dollars on posters. Those same people have to have every piece of merchandise offered. They have to own every shirt. They have to own every color of every album.

But yet they won't spend an extra $100 on a decent ticket to see their favorite band perform live?

I'm not specifically talking those Florida tickets. I'm talking ANY ticket. Plenty of people here Refuse to pay more than face for a ticket. Yet again, they own $5000.00 worth of posters, and 25 variants of the Yield Album.

yes because its people who do that are partially why we have such issues battling bots and scalpers for tix.   Also for me, I have exchange rate to contend with as well.

Lots of members of this fanbase have different priorities. Chasing tickets for some, merch for a lot of people (not getting a poster ruins the show?), chasing songs to check off their list, pre-parties, etc.
For me, it's still the music, but I definitely think I'm in the minority. Even after 106 PJ shows, I still listen to every bootleg/entire tour in order and never miss a song (no bathroom breaks or merch runs during the show, ever). So I agree with you, I would spend that money on tickets. But I would certainly worry that I spent that cash and will be surrounded by a bunch of loud, high-fivin' "dudes" who will ruin the night.
