T-minus 2 weeks, taking kiddos to first PJ show in ATL!!

My wife and I are surprising our two oldest kids with their first PJ show in ATL and we can’t wait! Our oldest daughter (Harper-Grant) turns 9 on April 25th and her younger brother (Patrick) is tagging along for the ride; sadly the 3 year old needs to stay home with a sitter. They still don’t know about the show but have been singing “the motorbike song” aka Off He Goes with me to/from school. Here’s hoping the band pulls that one out but either way I know we’re going to have an awesome time!

Nice. Enjoy. Went to MT with my son We were listening to in my tree a bunch before and they played it!
Love that song. Tribal drum beats.
Off he goes is a good gentle one.

    Have fun!!!

No Code is my favorite record so the kids get a healthy dose of it. They also dig Smile. I can imagine how fun that was for you and your son to hear In My Tree. Hope y’all catch more shows in the future

Have fun! I have taken my son to four shows now (one of the Atlanta shows will be five), and it’s a blast! My daughter is not much of a fan yet (does like Sleater-Kinney though).

It will be a blast and make some special memories! Hope they play Off He Goes. Such a great song!

Oh wow, four shows seems pretty special. Did you travel for any of them? Or do you live somewhere that sees more frequent stops?

It would be cool to see multiple shows at the same venue over the years so that (hopefully) our kids catch different sets, styles of playing the older songs and hearing the new records.

I live in Atlanta so super psyched for the shows.

In ‘22, he and I roadtripped to Nashville for a show, stopped off at Mammoth Cave in KY, and then on to St. Louis for a show.

Last September, we drove up to Philly for both shows.

Sightseeing and eating at all the places too. A lot of fun!
