Question about ticket sale

GHOST26GHOST26 miami Posts: 28
ok, a friend may have a ticket to sell and he wants me to buy it.
but it seems it has to be through Ticketmaster fan resale, right?
the risk: he puts on sale and somebody else buys it, or these "bots" do (do not know much about it).
so he's planning to arrange a late hour so I can try to grab it as soon as he posts it.

than i get the transfer from Ticketmaster, correct?
and i don't need him to get in the venue, right?

thanks

Correct. You can have him drop you a link at an early/late hour and then work hard at carting before the bots get them. Once you get them you’re good to go. Other option is have friend provide TM log in info and then you use the barcode to scan into show on day of show and then friend changes TM log in info.

Even late hour, you run a high risk of bots or someone else getting it. If it's a close friend, just have them give you their log-in info the day of the show. They can always change their password once you get in.

*also do not need your friend to be there on-site

    This is the ideal method

If they do give you their log-in info, just be sure not to add the ticket to your wallet. Scan the ticket directly from the app when you enter the venue.

so, if tickets are in his wallet already, my chances are gone? i saw that in my wallet you can use "remove". does that mean tickets would go back to TMaster account? If so, then I can log in with his info and scan tickets without using his or mine Wallet.

I got this from TMaster: I see you have concerns with your account.
I understand you want to log into your wife's account on your device to have it scanned at the venue. While this is possible, please be aware that it is at your own risk. We do not recommend this as it may lead to fraudulent transactions on the account.

No, you should still be able to scan the tickets directly from the app. But if you were to add the tickets to your wallet, it's possible that in the future, he'd probably get an error message saying that tickets in his TM account are linked to your wallet, and he wouldn't be able to add tickets to his wallet. But by the same logic, if he's already added the tickets to his wallet, then it probably won't let you add them to your wallet anyway.

Tickets can be removed from the wallet. Then you can scan from the app.

please, check this update and see if you can help:

If it is a non transferable ticket and it's in my wife's TM account, on her phone.
She will not go to the show, and will be out of town, business trip.

Would this be a solution for me going to the show without having to keep her mobile with me?:

I use my phone, enter into her TM account and have the ticket scanned.

    Is that correct?

    Thank you

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I tried with another ticket here at home using her TM acc on my phone

    1) it seems you can't scan from TM account. when you click 'view ticket', it asks to "add to wallet to enter the venue"
    2) it added to the wallet, but it shows a message like "still in progress", for some time now ... and i can't see or use the ticket

So, I may be in trouble.
This person agreed for me to use his TM account to get in, but now I'm not sure it will work.
It's a shame, PJ tickets, at the Hollywood Casino for face!!

    any super ideas?

The barcode will show up closer to the show and you can use it in the app. It won’t work in your wallet.

yep. but would you risk buying? the seller is 100% good. wife's wallet message at wife's phone says THIS PASS IS ASSOCIATED WITH A  DIFFERENT APPLE ACCOUNT. CONTACT TM TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.
has anyone being through this and closer to show it did work with TM app and barcode showed up? thanks

i got this from Springsteen forum: It's showing in progress because the bar codes are not yet live.
but i think it's not in progress anymore, as it was in the morning. now there's this message about DIFFERENT APPLE ACCOUNT.

Log in to the other person's Ticketmaster account on your phone and show the tickets at the gate from the TM app. The barcodes will populate in the TM app closer to the show date. You can't add tickets from someone else's TM account to your Apple wallet.

This. You will never be able to add them to your wallet. However, you can log into their account from your phone at the show and scan them from the app. I just looked at my tickets and all the barcodes are already showing up. You just have to hit view ticket from the app and the barcode shows up. Just ignore the add to Apple wallet part.

For the last couple months I got the same 'Add to Wallet to Enter the Event' or whatever. No Barcode. Yesterday all tickets now have barcodes. Some of them I had to close and reopen the ticket, but they're all there now. If you've had that issue in the past, may want to check now for some nice peace of mind.
