this song simply shows ed's ability to bring attention to something so little thought of as playing a record. to think that when i heard it for the first time the day i graduated from Army basic training in late '95, i thought it was refering to I.V. drug abuse. Ya know, "see this needle, a-see my hand".(didn't listen to the rest of the song close enough, i guess) Time has a way of changing things, huh?

    it could still mean whatever you want.... i do believe eddie wrote that line to sound like drug use.... since music is a drug or whatever... but this is a great song... so fucking intense... i love how eddie barks spin spin over and over again!

    I also think the line is referring to the needle on a record player...

    My mum always complains when I put PJ on because the first song she heard was Spin The Black Circle and she immediatley thought drugs when she heard 'See this needle, a-see my hand' so she was put off PJ staright away.... screw her, I play it on full even more now just to piss her off!
