Kofi has been doing that for years at the Rumble

I was kinda surprised he or Xavier weren't in it. But then again I guess they didn't really need them.

Maybe they released these wrestlers to make room for the recently released AEW wrestlers, Malakai Black, Moro/Rusev and Ricky Starks.

Starks just showed up last night on NXT

good luck with that primadona , if starks goes to wwe with the ego he had on AEW he´s gonna be gone in no time.

Black is wwe bound for sure. HHH loved him when he ran NXT , also his wife is on smackdown

Miro/Rusev doubt it will be back. Guy was only a star because of his hot now ex-wife

Great storytelling! I Knew Cody wasn't going to "sell his soul". Didn't expect Cena to turn though. I'm guessing the reason he "sold his soul" to the Rock is to get his 17th championship and break the record. So that makes great sense and storytelling, IMO.

Solid PLE overall. Jade comes back and attacks Naomi. Most likely cause she was the one that attacked her which most people saw coming anyway. Owens/Zayn match was fun. Randy Orton is also back.

    I watched most of it.

I'm normally critical of wwe and dont watch much these days... but I thought it was an excellent ppv

The women's match was excellent.  KO vs Zayn was entertaining.  The main event was really kind of dull until they got down to the final 4 (that was the first elimination chamber i have seen maybe it's always that way).

The way they pulled that off at the end was great.  I criticize wwe for being way too predictable, but I did not see that coming at all.  John Cena turning heel for the first time on his farewell tour is an awesome move/risk.

A moment like that you miss JR calling that

    and Cody's delivery,

    Hey Rock, go fuck yourself!

    I was like holy shit!!

Maybe it's good that WWE censors and uses swear words sparingly.  Maximum impact when an F bomb gets dropped.

Also given the current challenges Canada is having with the US I found the whole thing to be an analogy for current events.  Final Boss Rock is the US. Cody is Canada, and Cena was the tariff's.

    My random notes:

    This was peak WWF

This mania was the ticking clock of the old guard.

We should've got a another Tito vs HBK match after this.

Sherri had nothing after this angle in her career, that stinks.

LOD should've had a match here. Speaking of which, the Road Warriors never got the exposure they should have in WWE. Basically they should have held the tag title the second they showed up (also, I get it, Vince didn't like any gimmick created without him).

(Coming up on the Jake Roberts/Undertaker match)

I used to do predictions and possible matches for the big PPV's back around then. I have a binder with all that stuff (predictions, possible matches, rankings, results). I'll have to find it and see what I had for WM8.

Sucks about Kevin Owens. Dude might miss over a year cause of a neck injury. Looks like Randy Orton needs a match now for WM 41. I think Alestair Black would be a great opponent for him. Hearing Finn Balor is the most logical oppenent though.

AEW Dynasty is in philly tonight. Not going though. Have volleyball. Plus it's at the Liacouris (sp?) Center which i'm not too familiar at all with. Also AEW has kinda lost my interest as of late.

I know I definitely did Wrestlemania IX for possible matches. I may have done 10, 11, and 12 as well as some SummerSlam ones from around that time as well.

I also remember doing a WWF vs WCW “dream” card in the mid 90’s. I’ll have to post them soon.

This is very interesting and I'd love to see more.  Hogan vs Flair should have been the main event!!!  Also funny that it would be another 5 years before Sid and Taker fought at mania.
I know I definitely did Wrestlemania IX for possible matches. I may have done 10, 11, and 12 as well as some SummerSlam ones from around that time as well.

I also remember doing a WWF vs WCW “dream” card in the mid 90’s. I’ll have to post them soon.
I made fake PPV cards too with my action figures when I was younger lol.  Once I hit high school I stopped lol.

I remember Triple H was pretty much always world champion, which ended up being true in real life too

Once you hit high school, you stopped admitting it, ha.

I remember in high school we had an underground knee hockey league/tournament and everyone was obsessed with it.  We had a lot of "cool" people involved and nobody was allowed to speak of it.  It was a frigging blast though.  So nerdy.   We had banners of teams who won, music during breaks, goal horns, etc.

Haha that's awesome. It helped to stop watching because when I was a freshman they botched the invasion angle.

I used to rearrange my old LJN wrestler posters on my wall and tape a little "vs" between them to make matches.

We also used to have a wrestling "lawn league" where we'd legit have matches where we'd do real moves on each other on my front lawn. Man that shit hurt. Especially when someone belly to back suplexed me. Damn near knocked me out cold.

No wonder they came out with the "don't try this at home" campaign.

Can we talk about Wrestlemania 8?

    My random notes:

    This was peak WWF

This mania was the ticking clock of the old guard.

We should've got a another Tito vs HBK match after this.

Sherri had nothing after this angle in her career, that stinks.

LOD should've had a match here. Speaking of which, the Road Warriors never got the exposure they should have in WWE. Basically they should have held the tag title the second they showed up (also, I get it, Vince didn't like any gimmick created without him).

Whoa. Speaking of the worst WrestleMania, Becoming A Spectacle on Peacock is pretty good. Hilarious to hear Hogan tell the jetski story, too, lol

Was watching some of Wrestlemania IX last night. Yeah overall not too good but there are a few good matches in it. Also found my predictions and possible match ups for the event . Also here is my first WWF vs WCW dream matchups from ‘94.

That ending to WM9 with Hogan going over was absolute dogshit. Even as a Hogan mark growing up watching him, I hated it.

It's hilarious seeing him interviewed on this doc, like someone being abused trying to believe they hit the doorknob with this jet ski story over Savage knocking him out lol

Absolutely was I a Hogan mark but definitely remember feeling bad about feeling excited when he won this, like something was very much off yet 10 year old me couldn't articulate. Like you could tell leading up to this everything felt wrong with him being there. I remember it being very weird when he was on Monday Night Raw before all this.

Anyway, remember kids 1) don't have idols 2) I am very much glad to see him get dragged these days knowing everything we now know.
