I just paid an extra $27 on the pumpkins vinyl I bought from Madame Zuzu’s. Not sure how much of that was normal duty or a result of the orange dipshit.

How much was the record?  I know those Madame Zuzu's records can be expensive, and usually sent by courier which give them 100% chance of being assessed for tax. If it was a $100cdn record, usually it would be your GST/PST (or HST) plus about $15 or so dollars for the brokerage fee to determine the tax.  $27 could be in the ballpark of a record worth 100cdn, but would be steep for a cheaper record.

I haven't ordered any vinyl from the US since tariff's started, but I suppose as a collector, it's going to be hard to avoid the odd US only release.   I have a third man records vault that will ship next month, so I guess I'll see what that one gets dinged at.  I'll probably buy this one too if I can't find it in Canada or Europe.

Have you tried to import any vinyl since countertariff's went in?  I'm guessing we would have to pay a 25% import tax to buy this? :(

Haven't received any new vinyl (from the USA) since the tariffs kicked in. Looking forward to the 4 of 6 Mad Season vinyl records coming from the USA next month. Other 2 Mad Season records are shipped from Canada & UK.

Was it shipped via DHL over at madamezuzus.com?  You can self clear and not pay those import duty / DHL fees. Only pay for the taxes. https://mydhl.express.dhl/ca/en/forms/self-clearance.html

I don’t think it ever got released on vinyl. I remember there being a preorder on Bandcamp, but I believe it got cancelled.

I remember that, but then never heard of anyone actually having a copy.  I was hoping because the 2nd one is getting a release that maybe I had missed a proper release of the first one, I guess not.

And now we shall see what kind of tariff's my order gets hit with :)

Don't believe so. First vinyl went up exclusively on Bandcamp. Sold out fast, unannounced. Haven't seen it yet on discogs.

Yah, that makes me question if the bandcamp listing was an error or they never ended up getting sent out?    Zero copies on discogs, and I've never heard of anyone owning a copy.  People on this firm (sometimes including me) are pretty hardcore with the collecting.  I have to imagine some on on this board would of gotten one if it existed?
