1998 Seattle poster Question

To my knowledge none of these posters were signed. 

Anyone else hear or know otherwise? 

I’ve never seen one signed until this one.

    There's a comment on the EB forums that says s/n copies of this poster went up for sale at BigPop posters in Oct 2007.

    Very strange. I've been looking for one of these forever as well. But having never seen a s/n one before caused me to pass on this one.

    Maybe email Ames.  I’ve asked them questions before and they’ve been pretty good responding.

    I just looked at mine, it is not signed/numbered.  Albeit I bought it about 15 years ago from another fan, which I think is before the era where posters started to get bootlegged, so I don't think mine is a bootleg.

    I’ve NEVER seen a signed one and I’ve seen members state that Ames never sold signed copies of this one. 

    Now I’m really curious.

    The bootlegged versions are screen printed or done on a computer? I’ve “heard” about bootlegged posters but never saw one.

    I haven't specifically seen bootleg posters, but it's getting way more prevalent now.   I attended a few shows last year (Foo Fighters, Springsteen) and there were people selling bootlegs on ebay.   I assumed they must be a high resolution scan and print or something.  I think it's less common for really old posters because it could be hard to get an original to make a copy of?

    I did have a Vancouver 98 s/n I bought maybe 10 years ago from a 10C member. So maybe the one sold from Ames were S/N 🤷‍♂️

    Pretty sure I saw a S/N of the 98 East Troy/Chicago for sale here a long time ago. Wish I had bought it.

    I have Hartford, Dallas, Indy, and St. Louis that are all s/n.

    Many of the 98 Ames posters were available s/n for a long time. I got quite a few for US$ 62.50 directly from Ames when they did a 50% sale many years ago... e.g. Noblesville, East Lansing, Cleveland, Hartford, West Palm Beach, Vancouver ...

    This seller on ebay, sold 1998 east lansing poster  a couple of months ago. Seller has listed another east lansing poster with the same signed number as the one that sold couple months ago 16/350. I ask if he actually has two separate posters. No response. He has several 1998 posters listed, same deal. I would be a little concerned. Each poster sold a couple months ago for quite a bit.

    Sounds legit. The seller said that the buyer from a couple months ago backed out the first go around and has relisted posters again.
