I GUESS the bregman deal is a “win” for the sox but, man, those opt outs are so player friendly. if he sucks and goes downhill, the sox are on the hook for another $80M. if he has a great season, he’s one and done. I do know cliffy is fond of alex.
    F Cora and Bregman

    Let me translate for everyone:

Why the fuck didn't the Yanks do this deal?
I have no problem with high dollar short term deals, so I don't hate the deal.  But I don't want Bregman. F that guy.

I believe cliffy. Cliffy doesn’t like him. Just like I don’t want justin turner, manny machado or chris taylor on “ my” team.

No surprise Yankee fans would want nothing to do with proven champions and prefer the likes of Mike Mendoza Line Stanton.

ESPN and Baseball parting ways after this season

Manfred wrote the league has “not been pleased with the minimal coverage that MLB has received on ESPN’s platforms over the past several years outside of the actual live game coverage.”

They thought paying espn for showing games wpuld mean nonstop promotions.
It is not football.  Nice try.

I liked it being on ESPN, though.
They have a real issue with how the regional networks are working.

Because I’m old school (insert old guy joke here, poncier), I don’t like the idea of robo umps.

but, if you’re gonna do it, just do it. 100% of the time is a better idea than 4 challenges.

I and a few of us have mentioned how bad ESPN has been with promoting baseball.  When Gammons was on it was amazing.  They promoted good plays and hitters and pitchers that were lighting it up.  They do none of that.  ESPN is in bed w the NFL and they have NFL live on NOW!.  It's the off season, let it go.

If they did some of that promoting for baseball maybe people would be into it more or ESPN is seeing the writing on the wall?

No damn robo umps.  I like that pitchers who actually pitch can work the zone and expand it.

I do feel that if the strike zone is monitored by computers it will take more guesswork out of the batters.  To me the advantage is in the batters anyways.

ESPN will show NBA Summer League highlights over baseball in July. It's absurd. I pretty much just turn on MLB, NHL or NFL network in the mornings while I'm getting ready for work.

All the other stuff probably gets more betting action and we know ESPN is down with that.

In some ways baseball does it to itself. "Bullpen games" - dumbest thing ever. Make these guys pitch some innings. If Skenes or Taj (guy on Tigers) are pitching they make the highlight reel.

Yep. The Devil Raying of the game in recent years has made it fairly unwatchable.

So you want names on the backs of the Jerseys next?  Blasphemy...

The Yankees were always the team to have these policies and to be a Yankee you complied.  I liked that they were a throwback and different.

Oh and i HATE when I see a Yankee jersey w a name on the back...
